Bayless - I see parallels between this year’s team and franchise's first Super Bowl

The 1971 season started off with a QB controversy between Staubach and Morton. Landry platooned time between the two to mediocre results, but as soon as he started Staubach full time and benched Morton the Cowboys didn't lose another game and won the SB.

With that said, and if Bayless is right, then who is coming in to start and lead us undefeated the rest of the way to a SB?

Remember it's a long season take care of your body.
Take one game at a time and don't look ahead.
Learn from your mistakes and don't repeat what doesn't work.
Remember what does work and do it again using different players.
Don't let your success make you complacent.

Its the same story every single year....nothing is going to change until something fundamental changes and that has to start at the top....

And that team had lost the SB the year before by a FG against the Colts...it wasn't like they were too far off....Just needed a QB like we do now, and look what happened...

That team was before my time but doing some research I guess he's saying that team kind of stumbled at the beginning to a 4-3 record and then won out.
