Have I mentioned how much I hate AIT?

There's so much negative crap I can say/write about it but I'm on a base computer and it's probably being monitored. I freakin' hate this place.

They're all concerned about the high suicide rate, yet they make you do a whole bunch of stupid crap and they "Smoke" you for the dumbest crap. Freakin' dumb stuff. How some of these people became NCO's is a miracle.

Fort Sam Houston and San Antonio was great.

Staying awake in class sucked, but everything else was great.:laugh2:

Eh, doesn't bother me. I don't have any urge to look at naked men so it makes no difference to me. Whether or not anyone is looking at me, I don't know cuz I pay no attention to them.

We had a drill sergeant that had a favorite number... Zero.

Once we'd get up to about 90 pushups he'd make sure we all knew his favorite number.

DS Anderson: (in cadence) Hell no... Zero... Zero... Zero...

And we'd have to start over at - you guessed it - Zero.

8 count pushups SUCK. Luckily we didn't do many of them. I actually pulled a muscle doing them (might have just reaggravated a previous injury).

Running sandbags up and down a hill, now THAT'S fun.

Drill Sergeant Sickles: You know what, I don't like where those sandbags are, go put them at the top of that hill.

A long time ago....A LONG TIME AGO....

During Basic we had a black Drill Sergent that would come in around 2:00 AM. and wake us all up to stand at Attention.

He then would order all of us to pull down our boxers and sing "Can't Get Enough Of Those Sugar Crisps" (the cereal song)..while making us swing our peckers around!



How embarrassing...especially right after waking up!

Did they send you to get a box of grid squares or squelch? Those were always my favorites. I knew about that game before I went in.
