Im trying to think of a potential hire that could be worse than Garrett...I'm stumped

Lol, Nick Saban or Bobby Petrino? After that, maybe Cowher.

Give me someone really young who just came from the college game or is currently still coaching kids. Pep Hamilton would be my knight in shining armor.

*Sigh*. 1-7. That roster. That situation. That core of players. Four years removed from Bill Parcels.

That roster had a lot of talent. It had a lot of holes. If that can't be considered in the context of this conversation, then it's really not a conversation worth having.

1-7 because of their coach, not because they were the Jaguars.

New HC will do little to change anything. Just like new OC or DC will. What else can they do? they already switched from 3-4 to 4-3. They have brought in authoritarian HC (parcells) to creampuffs (Phillips). The run blocking scheme has been changed. Look there is nothing left to change except changing your QB and GM.

Had Parcells stayed for a couple more years and actually had solid QB play I have little doubt that the team would have done more than they did under Wade.

thats hard one to predict because Parcells already had solid QB and still bolted. I am sure we don't see about 90% of what is going on behind the scenes (Sam Hurd interview shedding light on alot of this). Its still too soon for Parcells to be truthful about why he left but I always felt he didn't like the makeup and chemistry of his leaders and felt they were not a contending team. In hindsight his gut feeling (assuming this is what he felt) looks pretty accurate.

BP was burned out. Also the death of his brother that fall really hit him hard. I think he realized he just did not have it in him anymore.

i want garrett to leave so he can take this stupid offensive scheme with him. I don't care what anyone says this isn't bill C offense. I want a headcoach that if just the head coach. Hire a offensive guru that has new fresh idea's and knows how to get his playmakers the ball.

He's got to know fans are getting tired of this 8-8 crap.

I think he'll go after a big name guy.

Regardless it seems fans think Jason's seat is hot.

8-8 would be WONDERFUL. The way they've been playing and w/ the remaining schedule, this team could finish as bad as 5-11 to 7-9.

Without Garrett, Wade would have done better than Wade...

Here's the bottom line. If Jerry sold the team tomorrow, no team in any league would hire him as the GM. As far as Garrett I think it is the same thing, no team will be lining up to scoop him off the unemployment line. Maybe Princeton.
