Yes mistake after mistake, but when it's on the line they pulled it out. 98 yards to win a game.. tells you about this team that even on their worst day, they can pull it off. Don't ever overlook a team again!!!
Never have issues with a win, but there will always be analysis vs the comp, we continue to stay true to rep and play down to the comp continually.
We blew out the Vikes because this team was focused entirely on that game vs the vaunted Vikes at the time, that's the example of the perfect game that is
going to have to be coming soon again.
Maybe it's good that we are being exposed to that weakness, still winning but just playing rollercoaster ball, going up and down, the talent level of this team is contender level, but the consistency level is lacking one and done level at the moment.
That doesn't mean it stays there at that level, this team might be in the perfect storm were its just a bit too early to really peak, we have seen the perfect game this season, and this
team can get back to that level again and will need to do so.
A lot of young contributors, young rooks contributing and developing weekly, daily that have established their roles, just think how bad of shape we would be in the secondary losing 2 starting CBs, but having the depth to fill that void with some actual viable talent, very glad to have Bland coming in for Lewis, made most forget about Lewis.
Joseph has an opportunity to do the same, I always preach about confidence, but it is so very important x10 with the youth, Joseph has the golden opportunity now to prove himself, Bland did, so step up or exit stage left KJ.
We are deep enough to even start exploring others, safeties that can be competing with the new FA signing as well, Quinn has some serious moving pieces taking place right now until we can balance this out.
Pulling Donovan out of the box has changed this defense more than some are realizing, this defense has to learn to play and support the changes in the back seven and then build quickly on how they can get back to doing what they do best and that's getting after the passer.
Hard to have both at the same time.
