I have used it a little, I was about to go back to 1760 on my grandfathers side. My mother really got into it. I gave her my account info and she cleaned up everything I had done.

Found out some shady stuff on my Grandmothers side. Her grandfather had 4 kids with her grandmother, then they divorced and he started another family. Obviously the two families didn't like each other at all. So once he died, the new family burried him in the family plot. My Grandmother's uncles and Aunt went and dug him up and burried him in our families plot!

I think I have been able to go back on my grandmothers side to the 1400's, we may have some German Knights in our family I have been able to see a lot of crests. I am just not sure.

Here's one of my ancestors... whoops... :laugh2:

Very efficient advertising system we have here... Right as Trick is tutoring ice on the little green leaf, above it is an Ancestry ad with the little green leaf.

LOL, the ad redirects around here get ridiculous sometimes. Some days you can't even use the back button. I use it a lot. I don't like being forced to use breadcrumbs.

Here is a pic of my great great great grandfather in 1890. He fought in the civil war and was a POW.

I enjoyed the site myself. No problems ever came up. I recently found out that I would have been the Prince of Wales if one of my grandfathers could have held on to the Welsh throne from the Anglo-Saxons a thousand years ago. I knoe the site is a money-making gimmick on some fronts. Most of the good info comes from members.

That's where I messed up... I didn't imagine the stuff I had collected when I was a paying member would go away...

I may join again for a month at some point in order to screen cap those docs...

People that start doing research on their family history had better be prepared for some seedy things... it's in every family...

Yep...A family of bootleggers and/or pastors here. And one politician. He was Secretary of the Navy in 1882 and married John Wilkes Booth's girlfriend.

Cool man, but what does any of this have to do with the fact that Phoenix and I can't look up our ancestors because we're adopted? Have you read any of this thread? I mean, what does my quote even have to do with your response? That was message to Phoenix. Go away.

One of my ancestors was apparently named Adam.

Me too except Adam Yager/Jager. I don't know if it's 100% accurate but I tracked my ancesters back to when they came over from Germany in the 1700's.

Yeah man. On this subject I am sensitive. Have a problem with that?

the subject of someone accidentally quoting your post and talking about their experience with the subject off the thread? Even if he didn't meant to talk to you, so what? If you want people to go away you should PM your response to people if you are going to get offended when people you aren't directly talking to you respond to your post.

yes I have a problem with it when an honest mistake was made and you feel the need to act like a drama queen instead of what most people do....ignore it. But I will remove the quote since it was accidental, I wouldn't want to hurt your feeling further.

Edit: Sorry, I tried to go back and edit it. It wouldn't allow me to.

I apologize. If it was an accident, fine. Uptight? You obviously don't know my posting history here. I am far from uptight. There is only ONE subject that I am sensitive on: adoption. I will fight anyone who talks **** about that. It's the one "button" I have that I will lose any and ALL CONTROL over. I've only had one friend test that, and his face didn't like the results. Just saying.

Again, sorry.
