This one is the draft value board, the position by position board should be ready by late Wednesday night/early Thursday morning... making that one up will be copy and paste, going down this sheet by position, starting with the QBs, but I've got the next two days off, and I plan on slacking off... LOL... I figured this is the one most folks look for first, anyway...

I have 198 players on this sheet, and by my count 85 of them are players that the media has linked to the Boys... this might have been a meeting at the Senior Bowl, at the Combine, a player brought in for a predraft visit, a player brought in for Dallas Day last week (local players), or just a report on a website like KFFL that the player's agent said the Boys had shown interest in his guy... roughly 125 of them carry draftable grades, a little under 75 of them are likely undrafted rookie free agent prospects that I think the Boys might want to pursue after the draft (not all of them, obviously)...

The players that have been linked to the Boys are highlighted by yellow shading... players I personally like, my "pet cats", are in italic font...

Again, let me emphasize that this sheet is Cowboys specific, which means for example that you won't find many quarterbacks on the list... it is also heavy on my personal opinion, for whatever that's worth... for the ratings, I used my favorite website mostly, NFL Draft Scout... there were, however, a few players that are rated a bit differently than NFLDS (some higher, some lower) simply because a number of other websites disagreed with their ratings... when it seemed to me that the consensus disagreed with them, I tried to factor that in-- NFLDS is good, but they're not the oracle; like every website, they're gonna miss on some...

Hope you enjoy them, and if you have any questions, just post them in this thread...

nice work bro

I love it.

Thanks, buddy...

That's what I'll have on the counter as I watch the draft, scratching the names off with a Sharpie as they're drafted... it's become like a tradition with me, and it does make it easier to know which of my favorites are still there when the Boys pick...

Im really starting to like the chances we pick J.Fox, honestly he has the potential to be one of the bigger steals in the draft in the 4th considering some were projecting him to be one of the top 2 OTs in the draft pre-season last year, he clearly has the ability but just has had a reign of terrible luck.

Great job Bear, I do something similar as well to give me a refrence as the draft unfolds.

If you dont mind I see about 3 or 4 players I could offer some suggestions on that it seems you have a round too high or too low based on reports I have received but for the most part it look spot on.

Your one of the posters that offers up something different for the draft opposed to the regular mock. I really appreciate that.

If you like Jason Fox, and want him to do well in the NFL, you should be rooting for him to be drafted by Mike Shanahan (gulp)... he's tailor-made for Shanny's cut-blocking schemes...

He's good, I just don't think he's best suited for the Cowboys' schemes... and yet, they do seem to have shown some interest in him, so what the bleep do I know??

I don't mind at all-- tell me more...

I'm glad to see it seems to be opening just fine for y'all...

Id rather him be unsuccessful than help the Commanders!

Ya I do really like him, him along with Donald Butler and Javier Arenas are my 3 favorite players in the draft. I'd love the selection of Fox because both Fox and Free can play both RT and LT, imagine throwing off the defense by one play having Free at LT and Fox at RT, then the next with Fox at LT and Free at RT. Defensive Coord's will get pissed.

MAN, I'm glad I learned about Google Docs... a couple-three years ago, I shared these spreadsheets by e-mailing them to everybody who asked me for a copy... it seemed like for 3-4 days there, all I was doing was sending e-mails...

I've learned this morning why; it's been up for about a half-hour now, and over 110 people have opened it up... I'm stunned... I mean, I knew some people liked it, but I had no idea it was THAT many...

Please explain?

I've loved Butler for months btw, hes going to be the best ILB in this draft in the NFL, mark my words.

Great work as always Bear, but why 198, instead of 195 or 200? I only ask cause it would bug me if I did something and had 198. I have to end in multiples of 5 if at all possible, it sucks being like this, but if I were to stop at 198, it would bug me to no end until I either omitted 3 or added 2. So how do you do it, stop at 198?

Well, the way it worked is, when I finished my research and compiled my notes, there were 198 players on the list... :D

I actually scratched 10 or 12 from my list as I was making the spreadsheet up, I thought about it and wasn't that crazy about them after all... these were mostly lower-rated prospects...

You have Mays rated higher than Thomas SB? If so, why?

Add my applause for this effort. This is what makes the draft fun. Your work is stellar. There are players I don't know much about and your work gives me a chance to shorten the research curve.:worthy: :clap2:

That's the way NFLDS rates them... I did'nt even think about that when I was typing up the sheet, to tell you the truth, and like you, I find that curious...
