Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears have re-signed free-agent LB Lance Briggs (Bears) to a six-year contract worth $36 million.

If those numbers are correct, they got him to a lot cheaper than I expected. Safeties were getting that kind of contract this year.

Not when the overall contract is that low. Its when the overall contract is really large that you have to look more closely at the early years and guaranteed money.

i member his sayin mid season he changed his mind and would love to come back to the chi. i dk why the winters suck big time here.

and on a side note i thought he was a lock to be a Commander?

I read on PFT that it came down to the Commanders and Bears, both with similiar offers.
