Bears cut OT J'Marcus Webb

I have no idea what he might be willing to sign for but the Bears cut Webb. He would be ideal for our Swing Tackle IMO. Webb started 44 games for the Bears, 17 at RT and 27 at LT. He lost his job to Bushrod, who the Bears signed in March. I am not saying that he is an All Pro Tackle in this league but I will say that I have watched a lot of Bears Football and he is not half bad IMO. Starting experience, still young at 25. He has decent size 6'7" 335 lbs.

I wonder what he might cost to bring in?

He is better than Weems but he has fallen off and plateaued for the Bears, not very good no upside.

For the Bears, this was more of a cap savings move, or so I'm told. Not that he's all world or anything but if cap were not involved, he would certainly be good enough to make the team.

He is really not that good. They signed that LT from New Orleans, then moved him to RT. Then they demoted him to 2nd team , then cut him. He is too laid back and does not have the passion to play. He is/was one of the kids who was big, so you should play football. Really, there is not a lot going on there to take a look.

i think the FO is comfortable with Parnell as the swing tackle, i doubt they will make any more moves on the offensive line. If they do make anymore moves it will be for a DT,Safety or possibly another corner. Thats how I view this team.

Incentive based and a big maybe, churn it up. Maybe Calla can bring out the goods in him...
