Bear's Draft Board...

I just finished my first draft board today, the one with the players listed by position, and sent them to a friend on another board, guy by the name of Staxxx, and he worked with it, put it in a format that I could post to that board... I can't seem to get it to post in here, so I'm just gonna link y'all to it, I hope that's not in bad taste (as in, promoting another board, don't want y'all thinking I don't love THIS board...

I'll be working on my draft value board, where the players are rated by draft grade rather than by position, hopefully it will be available in the next day or so...

edit: No, burmafd - that's just how the excel sheet sorted when he did it by round.

It's in excel so you will need excel to open it and work with it. There is a utility available from microsoft that would allow you to open it but unfortunately it won't give you much more functionality than these pictures currently do.

No, I don't... that was just a preliminary value board that Staxxx made up for me, by simply sorting the players by the round they appeared in the first spreadsheet, the one by position...

I've just sent the Staxxx-man my finalized draft value board... you can believe that CJ is the first player on that one... which means, of course, the Boys don't stand a snowball's chance in Hades of drafting him...

Staxxx says he'll be able to get that one up pretty quick, so look for it sometime later today (sure do hope I'm not puttin' any pressure on him, LOL)...

Peterson will be drafted well before the Cowboys pick, so he wasn't put on the list... the only high first rounders on it are ones that the Boys actually interviewed, or some "reliable sources" (as opposed to message board rumors) have said they were interested in...

It was only today that I learned of the Boys' interest in Peterson, too late to put him on this list...

Basically, this list is a synthesis of players I personally like, and think would fit what the Boys are trying to do, and players that I read the Cowboys had shown an interest in... I figure if they're interested, they ought to be on my list whether or not they're favorites of mine...

As a result, you won't find too many offensive linemen who aren't BIG offensive linemen, and those under 310 pounds only appear because the Boys apparently have some interest in them... IOW, this list reflects a lot of my personal preferences for each position...

Just like every year...

I'll bet you a thousand dollars to a doughnut right now that they'll end up drafting at least one or two players who are nowhere on my list... it will be safe to predict that I won't think a lot of those picks...

The only players who are generally considered top 15 picks that appear on this list are players that the Boys have shown interest in (at least, that I've read they showed interest in)...

I saw no point in including the likely top 15 picks absent such demonstrated interest, simply because the Boys aren't gonna have a CHANCE to draft them...

This is not an exhaustive list of all the prospects available, rather it's a list of prospects that I think the Boys might be able to use, that might fit what they're doing...

At least one who's been around a year or two, or three did. No need to take it personally, though. It was a comment, not an attack.

When I see 'Draft Board,' and 'Bear's' I still think 'Chicago' before I think 'Silver.' I was expecting something about a proposed trade to the back of round one.

Other than Adrian Peterson suddenly becoming a factor, if Jerry were to trade up into the top 12, I have a hunch that his target is still on my list...
