Peyton Manning...

DECATUR, Ill. -- He doesn't want to do it, but diehard Chicago Bears fan Scott Wiese is changing his name.

The 26-year-old Forsyth man told friends that if his beloved team didn't win the Super Bowl, he'd become Peyton Manning after the Indianapolis Colts star quarterback.

He even signed a petition in front of 200 people last week at Decatur's Katz Piano Bar that he'd do it.

After the Colts defeated the Bears 29-17 on Sunday, Wiese started the process.

He trudged to the Macon County Courts Facility on Tuesday and filed the paperwork. The change still has to be approved by a judge.

Wiese says he really cares about the team and that his sacrifice represents the true passion of Bears fans.

Not as bad as the lunatic astroNUT who wore a diaper for 900 miles to avoid "potty" breaks on her way to kill her lovers mistress.

I wonder if the Giants will draft him this spring.

Still doesn't match the story of the British fan who literally and deliberately castrated himself after one of his team's games. His team WON and he castrated himself.

The good news about this particular idiot is that at least he can't breed anymore. ;)

That's not the word I'd use to describe a bears' fan.

If anyone in Chicago needs to change their name, it's Rex Grossman himself.

Grossman is garbage.
