Bears' Lamarr Houston tears ACL while celebrating

The Chicago Bears' embarrassing day in New England has been made a lot worse because of injury. Defensive end Lamarr Houston will miss the season with a torn ACL, Bears general manager Phil Emery confirmed Monday.

Houston hurt his knee while celebrating a sack late in the fourth quarter of the Bears' loss.

"I probably shouldn't have celebrated like that, but it happens," Houston said after the game, via Shalise Manza Young of The Boston Globe.

They were losing by like 25, what is there to celebrate? And on top of it, he sacked the backup QB, not Brady.

If I were the Bears, I would look to get out of his contract.

Good point. I think a player celebrating after a tackle for loss or sack when the team is losing and getting there butts handed to them always looked rediculous.

The camera always cathces it and im sure most people watching are thinking - "why dont you take a look at the scoreboard".

Its almost like - hey look at me, i made a big play, can you beleive it ? Cmon man, act like you expect to make those plays.

The fact that he got hurt doing it is even more embarassing.

Having torn my ACL, it's not fun for anybody, but you're getting blown out and playing backups so you have little to celebrate.

It also shows you why you always absorb a jump with the front of your foot vs. flat.

Pretty tough not to laugh at this one. I think it's the whole top of the world one moment to crippling pain hold your leg next that makes it funny. Rough for the Bears.

Oh wow....another one?

How many of these folks are going to go down doing these celebrations before they realize they should probably reign themselves in just a little bit.

Celebrating is okay. Let's keep it on the ground, though.

That's what I would be telling my football team this week.

It was the exact same maneuver as that Lion who ended his own season earlier this year after a sack. Must be something a little dangerous about that.
