I think it only applies to spiking or throwing the ball in the air, but I'm not sure.

Hard to believe that when the Giants lost 36-31 to Dallas earlier this season, that may have been the Giants' best defensive performance to date. (They only allowed 22 points to the Cowboys' offense in that game.)
