Beasley should have been retained

All he does is get open, make plays, moves the chains, and score touchdowns every now and then.

He's a great player and one that shouldn't have been let walk away.

Huge mistep in letting him go.

Wasn't a misstep. Cowboys offense hasn't been a problem its been the defense.....unless you want to try Beasley at safety? Or hell maybe edge rusher.......or how about 3T?

The offense hasn't been as good as what their stats suggest. A lot of slow starts and Beasley could have helped with that by picking up very much needed first downs. He does it all the time.

And letting him walk didn't help the front office sign anyone either because they still suck. If not worse.

Calm down, the Cowboys wouldn't have had any more success with Beasley.

The best thing that happened to Cole was getting away from the Cowboys.

these threads of keeping this guy, keeping that guy, missed not keeping this guy are crazy already. Big reason why teams like the Pats succeed is because they don't retain their stars, they replace them, coach them and WIN. We throw darts and hope we hit a bullseye every now and then.

I'm speaking with Dak...the issue isn't the slot receiver position the issue is the fact we lost Dak and the backups haven't been good. If your argument is that they'd be good if they had Beasley as opposed to Lamb or Amari...I'd have to strongly disagree. Randall Cobb was just as good if not better than Beasley.

I get it. Its beat the Cowboys up time for all the past moves they made. I get it trust me I do.....not drafting TJ Watt is something to rue over...but letting Cole Beasley go? Nah man....I can't find it in my heart to care about Beasley lol.

I accepted the fact that he was gone, but never doubted he was a good player. With the way the Cowboys are now, he's certainly getting the last laugh.

Disagree. We got a 5th for him, then one year of Cobb on a cheaper deal, and we’ll get a 5th for Cobb too. IMO it’s an example of a near perfect rebuild of a position group. Now we’ve got Cooper, Lamb, Gallup, and Wilson which is strong and improving.

If only we could have executed like that at DE, DT, LB and Corner.

Beasley was never a problem but WR is not the issue in Dallas.

Cole wouldn't have accounted for a single extra win this season, and admitting that is not slagging on him as a legit NFL slot WR.

I don't remember anyone ever saying he was bad.

But Beasley always shows up and deserved to be paid a modest salary.
Beasley literally spent all of the 2018 season ranting on twitter about how he was the best #3 in the game and couldn't wait to hit the open market to go to the highest bidder.

It's literally no surprise that he left given his in season tone and the fact that the cowboys didn't want to drop 30 million on a #3 receiver (they where rightfully happy with Gallup/Cooper and they had a ton of pending contracts going into the 2019 season)
