Strange weather here.

An artic storm which originated in siberia - called the beast from the east - is due to collide with Storm Emma - an Atlantic ocean storm directly over Dublin, Ireland at 4pm today. The entire country is on compulsory curfew for 24hrs at least. Nobody allowed outdoors. Already a few inches of snow over the past couple of days - we're told we might get 3 feet tonight!.

Normally we get a couple of inches of snow about once every 5 years.

The Day After Tomorrow coming true. The real Perfect Storm was the meeting of two hurricanes to form a super storm much like what you're describing.

The west in the US is getting hit with a blizzard with winds of 100 mph and up to 5 feet of snow in the higher elevations. Thank goodness global warming is a hoax.

Here in New England we're supposed to get monsoon type rain all day Friday. Glad it's not snow, but good luck with your weather over there. I hope the forecast is a severe overestimate!!;

Charge your batteries! I already have.

based on the title,I thought this was about the sea monster "Champ" in Lake Champlain.....or Bigfoot sightings.......dang.

It has been a very weird year weather wise for sure. I experienced most of these occurances from the NE to Houston to the West.

A winter hurricane bomb off the Atlantic coast? I can't recall ever hearing about one of those before.

And it seems that the only people who really respect the delicate nature and unpredictability of the ever changing weather are those assigned to try and predict it and protect others from it.

We have friends in Glasgow, Scotland that sent a few photos of the snowstorm. It is not unusual to get a few inches of snow, but they have a couple feet with more on the way.

Meanwhile, here in the Colorado Front Range, we are having another relatively mild and decidedly "dry" winter. Sigh

Bombogenesis, which sounds more like a Gipsy Kings tune, is hitting the Eastern seaboard and wreaking havoc with winds up to 75 and a blizzard is hitting the west clocking in at 100.
