With, what is in my opinion, an extraoridnary amount of great songs, in what order would you rate your top 5 Beatles songs of all time?

My list would read:

1.Strawberry Fields Forever
2.I am the Walrus
3.Glass Onion
4.A Day in the Life
5.Rocky Raccoon

Sorry, there can only be 5. No Honorable mentions.

That's a pretty stunning statement (other than 'Maybe I'm Amazed', 'Imagine', 'My Sweet Lord' and a number of songs from All Things Must Pass, Imagine and Plastic Ono Band, the post-Beatles output doesn't measure up.)

Top 5:

1. A Day In The Life
2. I am The Walrus
3. You Never Give Me Your Money
4. Hey Jude
5. Tomorrow Never Knows

2. Midnight Rambler
3. Ventilator Blues
4. Sympathy For The Devil

I think the Beatles music is good. To me its not great.
I can get into the Wings stuff much more than the Beatles stuff. You cannot decide what moves you and what doesnt.

Yep, can't explain it. It's just what I like.

I tend to like the fringe songs ... the songs that may fall just short of making the greatest hits album.

Favorite Doobie Brothers song: Eyes of Silver
Favorite ELO song: Wishing
Favorite Beatles song: Eight Days of the Week
Favorite Elvis song: Little Sister

etc.

Ahhh...I was going to add Tax man in my top 5 list but nudged it out some.

Really like that song along with magical mystery tour. Both are goofy but I like them anyways.
