I had put out a post combine mock with that i think the Cowboys will do and it seemed to not go over well mainly because of the 2nd round pick. So here is what i wish would happen.

Player cuts

- Brandon Carr June 1st cut
Resigned

- Greg Hardy DE
- Mackenzy Bernadeau OL
- Morris Claiborne CB
- James Hanna TE
- Ronald Leary OG- 2nd round tender
Free Agency
- Derrick Johnson ILB
- Patrick Robinson CB
- Justin Durant OLB

RD1.) Jared Goff QB, California- Just take the QB Stephen and Jerry. The talent is there and will continue to develop and fill out his frame. Can challenge Kellen Moore as the main backup from day one.

RD2.) Vernon Butler DT, Louisiana Tech-
One of my favorite defensive tackles in this years extremely deep defensive line class. He is a day one starter due to his run stuff ability. Will take a season or 2 before his pass rush ability really takes form and he becomes a 3 down player. He is going to be beast on the interior.

RD3.) Karl Joseph S, West Virginia-
A perfect player to pair with Byron Jones at Safety. You can put him in the box, can play man coverage, and u can put him in deep coverage.

RD4.) Jihad Ward DL, Illinois-
With the very deep defensive line depth in this years class, Don't be surprised if he makes it to our 4th. Physically he is what u want in a defensive lineman at 6'5" and just under 300 pounds. You can play at both right and left defensive end due to above average athleticism, non stop motor, and burst to get to the ball carrier. He is still pretty raw but the potential and physical tools are their. Can also move him to the interior as well.

RD4 Comp) C.J. Prosise RB, Notre Dame-
Limited experience at RB but he has starting back potential. Good RB to play in a running back by committee.

Intriguing FA acquisitions especially Derrick Johnson, immediate upgrade to Ro. Only guy who has a chance of starting in your draft is Joseph, maybe Butler. Just not sure Butler is a Marinelli kind of DT.

Good draft. I'm on the Ramsey bandwagon however, so I'd have Ramsey in the first and Cravens in the 3rd based on my first round choice.

Me likey.

Any chance Karl Joseph could play corner?

I really like Derrick Johnson and i feel we can steal him away with all the young starters the chiefs need to keep. Good thing is i don't see his price being too crazy due to age. He is still a pro bowler and will be playing at a high level for at least a couple more seasons. A win now move.

Patrick Robinson was labeled a 1st round bust when on the saints but he showed he can be a good player as the slot corner playing with the chargers this past season. Even talked to some saints fans and they said he can be play maker out the slot but was forced to play on the outside in New Orleans. A hungry player in his prime years who is doing all he can to stay in the league.

Durant is a solid linebacker. Starter at SAM and can be our main backup at the MIKE and WILL.

I think Butler is much more of an option then players like Kenny Clark, Reed, Austin Johnson, and even Billings.

I had Ramsey in the draft that ppl didnt like lol. I like him if the QB's dont grade out.

This would be pretty awesome. If we got a good draft like this and had a good one next season dallas could be a sb contender.

Love the draft and the FA. Not so sure about resigning Hardy though. I would definitely have some contingencies in his contract though.

yea im not sure the kind of contract Hardy would get but a way to get out of it if he continues to do wrong off the field.

A large bag of meh.

Okay, I'm back on your side. Keep it up.

Not my top choice but definitely seems like a Marinelli type of d-lineman.

a couple Mehs and some approvals. just what i wanted out of my mock.

Go ahead and sign me up for this draft right now.

Like the FA signings well enough. Would pass on Claiborne though. Just doesn't fit our scheme. Carr and Claiborne were the reason we got killed with pick plays. Couldn't play zone so teams just constantly ran them. I would prefer to get away from one dimensional CBs who don't fit what Marinelli wants to do.

I have spent the last month or so researching the free agents and it seems to be a ton of solid to good nickel and dime corners. If their was a reasonable upgrade to MO on the outside then I'm all for it. Jenkins and Sean Smith seem to be out of reach due to the amount of cap some these teams have. Maybe Casey Hayward but I think he gets paid big as well. Unless u have a corner back in mind to replace as our #2 that I'm overlooking.
