1) I apparently missed the memo, but they're completely relaxed the roughing the kicker rules. This is the third week of the season I've seen a defender run into McBriar.....not being pushed into him, they dove for the ball and rolled into him in what would have once been a penalty.

2) Should we go ahead and re-name the spiking/delay of game emphasis the "Terrell Owens Rule?" Or the Chad Johnson rule in the AFC, but the point remains TO is getting called for it and others arent. Marshawn Lynch spun/spiked the ball twice tonight and wasn't called...and that's just what I caught on my tv live.

I have noticed the kicking thing as well but never went back to look over them so figured I was missing some things.

Also noticed that thing with Lynch and did not understand why it was not called on him.

However to be fair...I also noticed that roy williams horsecaller and a hit directly to the head from another player on that same play. Neither was called.

What about the spike by Kelsay in the end-zone? Was that one OK because it went straight up?

T.O. didn't even spike the ball either.

The refs must not like our kicker....he needs to get pictures of the refs in compromising situations or something to get a call.

T.O.'s "so called spike" was a bullcrap call ......

He dropped the freakin ball.

I watch a ton of ball, the only two delay of games for spiking I have seen all season were both on owens. That's just bull.

The calls on TO include a lot that don't mean nothing. I bet he laughs at each check he sends in for a funny call. He is a football player and those are bean counter calls. Ain't nothing but a thang.

Two exact points I followed as well...I don't understand the running into the kicker/punter rule anymore...Seems like McBriar gets hit a lot and they can't all be attributed to being 'blocked' into the kicker.

The spiking penalty call is ridiculous

what about on the McGee KO return? a delay of game should have been called, they were out there for what seemed like 5 minutes celebrating

Anthony Henry had one called on him, too.

I Wonder What The Memo Reads On Owens Check Everytime He Sends It Lol

No doubt at all on the Roy Williams horsecollar.

That should have been called as well.

The NFL has stated that it won't be called if the defender has one hand on the front of the ballcarrier. Roy did -- it was just on the facemask (possibly because Lynch had his hand on Roy's facemask, as well).

Neither should have been. Like I said a minute ago, Roy had one hand in front of Lynch, which makes it OK. And Newman didn't lead with the crown of his helmet, so it's not spearing. He led with his shoulder, and the side of his helmet made contact with Lynch's helmet. That's not a penalty. The "helmet-to-helmet" rule applies only to quarterbacks in the act of passing and receivers in the act of trying to make a catch. For anyone else, helmet-to-helmet contact is legal, unless you're leading with the crown of the helmet -- then it's spearing.

When I saw that play I couldn't stop laughing there were like five penalties on it and M. Lynch got blown up in his grill it was hillarious anybody else notice that?

Come on guys quit crying. Im sure the Bills could counter every one of our grievances with a grievance of there own. Officating is never a constant variable, some weeks you get it, some weeks you dont, the main thing to remember is dont let a game come down to officating.

The rule TO was called for was "spiking" in a first down, not a TD. I am unsure if the league differentiates between TD and 1st down, but that was the call. Kelsay's obviously was on his pick 6 play, so that was the difference.
