This is what I love about the complaints (your post wasn't a complaint, so please don't think I'm directing this toward you) about Romo being off at times today.
When you throw 30 or so times, some throws are going to be off. And we're criticizing Romo that he put this or that throw on the back shoulder instead of the front shoulder, or that he overshot a deep throw by a yard, or that his completion to a running back didn't allow the RB to catch the ball instride.
And that's what qualifies as an off day (on, as you said, a day he has whopping numbers).
Contrast that to the off games we're seeing tonight between Cutler and Rodgers, where Rodgers has misfired on a handful of open deep throws and Cutler has been, well, pitiful.
A quarterback is allowed to not be perfect. None are. Let's cherish the performance Romo had today and hope he can play nearly as good next week.
