It is because we went 13-3 last year and had young upside with visions of Super Bowls dancing in our heads, to 5-6 with a ton of question marks........

Been waiting a long-time for brighter days of playoff success -and that seems highly doubtful for a year or two yet - too many holes, or steps back, or suspensions, etc...

The coaching, leadership, and mental toughness/instincts/brains of the team is in doubt - I think most probably feel the physical ability is there in a number of spots (perhaps not with a ton of depth, but there for most part)...
Just my thoughts....

What's it going to be then, eh?

That is probably because even the moderation can't reconcile what is happening.

They are in a state of shock just like the team is.

Usually board moderation can steer discussion. And they will in times of distress.

Thankfully, there seems to be a laissez faire approach so far.

And that is pretty cool.

To me, it feels different because the NFL is going down the toilet as a whole, not just the Cowboys. The NFL is no longer entertainment. It's a political protest platform and people are sick of it. I know I am. I have NEVER watched so little football in my life.....

it was pretty bad in the campo years. i remember the mood after losing to the expansion texans...dark days were had.

this team had issues that were hidden by zeke, the line, and romo. they can now be fixed this offseason.

Because of the way that they lost these last 3 and the ridiculous poor performance of these coaches. It looks like a high school team playing against a pro team. There is seemingly no hope for the future until they bring in a new staff. Couple that with a chief rival having the leagues best record and yeah, sorry times right now.

We've faced dark times, this feels different.

Thinking the team had possibly the biggest steal the league has seen in a decade in drafting Dak Prescott in the 4th round and having him look like a franchise QB had me on cloud 9 all off-season.

I've seen evidence of a lower ceiling than I thought was possible this season with Dak.

It's been quite the let down.

It's very hard to win Superbowls in this league without top 5-10 QBs. I'm not not sure anymore Dak has the potential to be that kind of QB unless the Cowboys ALSO have a top 3 RB also playing with him.

No JJ made the wrong moves in the off season. Last year this O line was legit. Collins moving to RT and unkowns at the RG position has diminish line play. Add in the fact Smith hasn't been 100% has made things hit rock bottom. Then we add in a new secondary that is too young with no leadership. Banking on Smith at Lb has failed us this year, the same with Green. This was the year of the miss season.
