Beez will probably get Norman

Dez, couldn't get separation from him. So Beez will have to get extra creative running those routes.
Dez and Beasley are different type of players. I think Bease may be able to shake norman for some separation but I think they will use a man underneath and Norman on outside leverage. The man underneath will help lock down the checkdowns and Beasley on his option. Dez had issues with Norman because Norman and the Reskins knew what the patterns were going to be and Norman is not Breeland.

Did Norman start playing a specific player or is he still just on the left side of the defense? Honestly asking because I remember them making a deal about him changing to follow Dez around the field a couple years ago for one game. Before that he really didn't follow a receiver, just stuck to his left side assignment.

it depends on who they play normally he gets matched up on the best receiver. They did try and keep him on the left side but that had more to do who was on the right side for the Commanders.

I was just reading about this. When Fitzgerald came to town, they knew he runs slot. So they put Norman to shadow him. Dont know exactly what that would mean? Do you semi cover hiim??

He does less shadowing now a days. That’s why you had Funchess on Dunbar last week.

Thanks. I thought that would not have been the only game they did that, but just don't really watch Commander games other than when they play us.

He use to just play whatever receiver was on the outside on the left side of the defense. If a receiver moved to the slot or right side he covered whomever was the left outside receiver. Never really use to follow a receiver around the field to where he lined up.

I think Beasley has great quickness and great change of direction in his rout running. Dez was a physical WR with limited speed and Norman a big physical CB which I think made that matchup difficult. If they want to take Norman and match him up one on one with Beasley fine, I think Beasley can hold his own on one on one matchups. Where teams have had success stopping Beasley is by having the CB over the top and LB sliding underneath.

I don't think they will be concerned with this, this game. :lmao2:

Saw Norman play against Carolina, he sucks. He was a one yea wonder and Warshington was dumb enough to give him a fat contract. Their entire secondary is a joke.

Norman is going to cover gallup he does not play in the slot

Hopefully they put Norman on Hurns. Hurns has not really been a factor so it will keep Norman busy. If Hurns makes several catches with Norman covering him, Norman really does suck.

He loves to "punch" the ball out once the receiver makes the catch. Got to keep an eye on him. He's a good football player.

They aren't going to spy Beasley with Norman. Norman will lock down whatever receiver he's on and free up the safety to skew coverage the other way so that they can bracket Beasley. That's what everyone except the Jags have done, and it's worked.
