Being positive vs negative all the time

I hear ya. I don't even like riding in groups. Two or three like minded buddies is plenty enough.

My problem in groups is I'm all about the corners. No problem taking it easy on the straights but having to coast through the corners or God forbid brake in a corner hurts my soul.
Braking in the corners
. Bikes won't turn on the brakes they will stand you straight up.
Got to be on the gas to turn.

When in doubt gas it says Keith code from twist of the wrist.

Just like you can't win a Super bowl keeping the brakes on the checkbook.

When in doubt spend some damn money and add talent.

It certainly looks like it’s happened to many, many fans here. If you deny that, your heads in the sand.

You said: “Cowboys fans with a negative attitude are less likely to be disappointed.”
Then said: “How many seasons of disappointment must a fan endure

You guys don’t even realize when you contradict yourselves because of your blind hatred.
My hatred is not blind but is laser sharp and focused.

I have absolutely no hatred towards any player or coach for the Dallas Cowboys. I reserved it for a man that has cheated us out of opportunity for the selfish reason of wanting to get credit where none is deserved.

By the way, you automatically assumed that I have a negative attitude simply because I choose to defend those that rightfully believe the Cowboys chances of winning a Super Bowl is minimal with Jerry Jones as the GM.

I believe that the Cowboys do have an outside chance and if they succeed it will be in spite of Jerry Jones.

Negativity and hatred are not the same. Disagreeing with one of your opinions and hatred are not the same.

Why in the world would I hate a team I have been following for decades? Why would I direct any animosity towards any fan that wants the same thing I do, for the Cowboys to find success. We simply disagree, sometimes, on how to get there.

What is the logical basis for a positive attitude? How has those who run the Dallas Cowboys earned a universal positive attitude from their fans?

If you are looking for a contradiction, these last few paragraphs should suffice.

Cowboy fans have brains. They have memories.

I’VE STATED THIS OVER A HUNDRED TIMES HERE ALREADY. It should be no surprise to anyone other than the haters who just chose to ignore what I mean and come up with their on definition of what I mean. Some really nasty people here. Just read their posts attacking me. It’s telling.
It's true. They are all against you.

I try to learn from mistakes. What the Jerry Jones has shown me is to curb my expectations no matter what the season is shaping up to look like.

I don't view that as being overly positive or overly negative, just have learned about this team since we're never had a coach to wants to make it his team and not Jerry's team.

That said, if you go to the game day discussions here on this forum during the active season, you'll never find me here screaming that we're the greatest thing since slice bread and super bowl baby here we come, or the season and the team is a complete joke and this is a bum of a franchise in the very FIRST quarter of the game ;)

For some reasons fans don't understand that there are four quarters in a game and the season is at least 16 games long (I can never keep track of what the NFL is doing with their seasons anymore LOL).

Right here is the root of your problem. There is not one single fact in the OP. You mistake opinions you agree with as facts.

Your absolute insistence that your opinion overrides everyone else's opinion and justifies your personal attacks does nothing more than put the dog on high alert and in a defensive posturing position.

Then you somehow are able to twist that into justification to assume a victim mentality.

Some people walk the dog. Some people are walked by the dog.
Ouch. Very well stated.

Thanks, and I appreciate it. You’ll have to give me some grace because I get attacked so much that when people just try and kid around, it’s hard for me to determine if it’s just kidding or more attacks.
If you would stop attacking others, 90% of the attacks on you would stop. Sure, there's always the few, but most are not interested in attacking others.

I've seen many times where you just jumped in and attacked good posters for stating their opinion.

He could stand to lighten up a bit, maybe more lol but he’s not the most negative.
No, he is, and there's no close 2nd. He brings negativity to every thread by attacking and insulting everyone who disagrees w/ him.

This thread was made as nothing more than to bait fans who don’t agree with rockport into looking like they aren’t really fans.

Reality is very few people on here are always positive or always negative. Most on here are a very healthy hybrid of emotions who just want to talk about football. It’s not about bashing the team and it’s not about propping up any and every move just because the cowboys did it. There is nothing wrong with breaking down the pros and cons of the new players on the roster each offseason. Personally that’s the fun of the offseason for me and where I get a lot of joy from, not just blindly booing or cheering a move that’s made.

For me positively is for game day. Everything else is about honest conversation. There is nothing wrong with suggesting the cowboys are strong in areas A,B and C but have concerns about X, Y, and Z. Having those conversations also don’t mean you can’t be excited to root for the cowboys on Sunday.

The real issue here is the fact that a certain poster feels the need to tell other fans how they need to feel and how they have to root for the team. There is no wrong way to be a fan.

There are people on this board for a variety of reasons, but 99% are of the same rooting interest even if it looks different. Some want to come here to simply stay up to date on what’s happening, some want to feel encouraged for the upcoming year, some want to vent their frustrations, and others want to talk in depth Xs and Os. None of these things are wrong, but all these wants are valid and should be tolerated as long as people aren’t stirring up trouble and breaking rules. The ‘your with us or against us’ attitude is a cancer for the forum and labeling people as optimist or haters does nothing productive.

It’s like me telling my wife that she needs to calm down….
Oooooooo. Nice. You are 100% on target.

It also happens to be the truth. But you don’t like the truth so you mock. You doubled down on your low character.
Don't think I can even begin to comprehend how you remain so completely negative.

I’m positively negative, or is it negatively positive?
I am a Dallas Cowboys fan!!!!

I view it more like I view any stock. I can be optimistic or pessimistic about where it is going to go and yes track record goes a long way into it. Same way I can look at the Dallas Cowboys and be optimistic that their cheerleaders will once again be top notch and that the team will find a way to suck.

And that is your own choice No one can stop you from feeling that way but I can tell you this it's ridiculous the man cheated us out of what A second dynasty oh wait a minute he created a new dynasty in Dallas with three championships versus the old ownership has two championships I don't want to hear about the long run of playoffs and winning seasons the Cowboys were bailed out of bankruptcy or at least they were on the verge who knows who would have bought the team and moved him out of Dallas it was possible Jerry came in and saved the Dallas Cowboys added three champions somehow you feel cheated?

Let's not go back to the nonsense that you trying to blame Jerry for the Jimmy Jerry breakup they are equally responsible They had a divorce Irreconcilable differences from both sides refusing to work together anymore.

These are two giant egos that clashed But they were friends and they still are friends but they couldn't work together anymore that happens with family as well I hearing about how Jerry's cheating everyone this drought is not the longest drought in the history of the NFL or in the history of sports it is not that bad.

The Kansas City Chiefs took 56 years to circle back around and I don't care how many GM's and coaches they went through they still had a longer drought the Eagles took much longer then this current drought to get their first championship ever What was that 2017 I don't know i'm not keeping up but I know that's a long time from 1960..

There are teams out there with no championship rings there are teams out there with only one we are waiting on number 6 because of Jerry Jerry brought 3 3 + 2 = 5 and now we're waiting on #6 we're not sitting around being cheated like Houston because there are three teams associated with Houston since they're in Texas and somehow they think lately with their little bump up in wins, They dare talk about our drought The Titans left Houston and still haven't won a thing the Houston Oilers never won a thing the Houston Texans still haven't won a thing,

So you want to be angry because Jerry doesn't run his business like you think he should he should have a regular GM He should have real football people in your mind he's not a real football person even though he played on a national championship football team with Jimmy he would have never bought the Cowboys without the passion for football and somehow you think over the last 35 plus years he hasn't learned anything about football that he's not a football person and then all the people he hired were not enough collaboration to get this right because you're thinking he's doing this on purpose out of ego or it's just dumb luck that he's in a losing streak right now and in a drought for championships?

You know that's hard to understand and don't think for a minute that I'm not frustrated and ready for an NFC championship game appearance and ready for another Super Bowl I am way overdue but I understand this is a year to year process not a 30 year drought this is a new year and one of these days the Cowboys are just gonna up and surprise everyone because you need a lot of luck with injuries getting the right people in the draft to workout your free agents to workout just things coming together and we will win number 6 and I hope that I'm alive to see it..

But blaming Jerry for all of this frustration you're feeling it's OK if you feel like blaming him but he's still getting credit for the 33 championships and creating what I believe cemented America's team that would have been ripped away from us had Jerry not swooped in and threw 3 more Lombardis on the shelf so the rest of the league can say you know what dynasty number two America's team is forever the moniker of the Dallas Cowboys because of Jerry..

No not because of Jimmy There's a chicken in the egg there is no doubt jerry bought the team and then he went to Jimmy and says I want you to be my coach and then he worked together with him to create that short dynasty but it was a dynasty it has more rings and more Lombardis on the shelf that they had to slide those other two over really far to fit on the shelf..

All these other teams with the makeup of a normal team with a regular GM and maybe even an assistant GM and an owner that doesn't get involved very much they're not winning a bunch of championships either I get it everyone thinks that if Jerry changes and gets a regular GM that somehow you think that he's going to just bow out of his ownership day to days being involved he owns the Dang thing he owns it he will always have final decision making..

And I get your frustration i'm just reminding you You're forgetting what he did for this franchise and you're not giving enough credit saying if it had been for Jimmy no if it hadn't been for Jerry buying the team and wanting Jimmy to be his head coach this would have never happened his money his drive and his vision is what gave us those championships.

No I'm not sticking up for Jerry i'm frustrated as well and really it's just those first 10 years post Jimmy that I'm the most angry about He has changed over the last 20 years but really changed over the last five years and I get it maybe too little too late but stop forgetting that he's the one that created those three Lombardis he's the one that's having us No that's number 6 is gonna be a lot better than number one or number two...
