I am going to meet him at the end of the month. My son is in the running for our County's Athlete of the Year and Emmitt is the keynote speaker at the event. Looking forward to seeing him.

Just crazy durability. I'm not trying to take anything away from Smith, he was a great runner in his own right, but there have been superior runners throughout history. What he had was him being able to carry the load, not wearing down, and punching defenses in the mouth late in the game.

It's one thing to do it for one or two season, but eleven seasons? In that span, how many games did he miss, 6? His durability alone puts him in the top 10 greatest players of all time.
