I know many of us are tired of the Belicheck mess as well as disgusted but I wasn't doing much so decided take a look at that Boston Herald was saying about the whole thing. Didn't want waste time printing whole article here but while reading saw this paragraph included in the letter sent to the Pat/Belicheck stating the punishment, etc. I didn't know the Commissioner sent Belicheck a letter just Thursday before the Jets game. But here's the paragraph per Boston Herald:
Belichick reportedly was reminded of those rules in a memo from the commissioner’s office as late as the Thursday before the Jets game but chose to ignore them. And not in a covert manner, mind you, but in blatant, in-your-face fashion.
It ticks me off that Belicheck got such a light punishment not only after being wared by a 2006 letter but also after being warned again in a letter just Thursday before Jets game if Boston Herald to be believed. This makes Commissioners' failure to included suspension of several games of Belicheck and yet 5 game suspension to Wade Wilson even more egregious (sp?).
