Belichick as HC, McCarthy as OC?

To me that would be probably the best they could come up with, the only issue is would Mike agree to it. Then you could continue McCarthy calling plays for Dak while you got a discipline oriented defensive head coach.

Ok, now you're just reaching. Dumb thread.
What's wrong with it? Explain.

It's unlikely McCarthy gets another HC job after being fired twice. Could even keep the money the same.

DQ has stayed longer than he has to as DC when he could have been a head coach again already.

If he does refuse oh well. He has no leverage his team got blown out at home against a 9-8 team.

Name me a HC who stepped down to be his successor's Offensive Coordinator. In the modern era.

Other than McCarthy turning it down which he might but he has no leverage, explain why it's a terrible idea.

The best he could hope for is an OC job.

MM is enough of a skin-saving weasel to do it, but I think even Jerry realizes that would be a toxic situation.

Mike will go to Wash and turn Maye into a top 5 QB and win the East every year!

Can you give me a precedent where this has ever happened before?
