can someone inform me on this whole Belichic-Mangini scenario. On numerous occasions I have heard that there is a rift between the two. Is that so? If so, why? Mangini was a student under Belichick for years I dont understand why they wouldn't be good friends.

I have heard that Belichic don't like it when his coach's leave for another team. I heard this being talked about on a talk show one time. Went as far to say that it is the same with players that leave or even thinks about leaving. They gave two examples.. one is that when Mangini accepted the job for the jets, that Belichick cleaned out Mangini office and still hasn't given the stuff back to Mangini..

The other regards Adam V.. before he signed with the Colts, he called Belichick.. and to this day.. Belichick has never called him back..

He sounds like a real A Hole to me.

i respect the patriots, and I like Tom Brady. With that said, everything I've seen from Belichick screams *******.

Did you see the "handshake" between the two at the end of the game?

I don't think Belechik wanted him to coach the Jets.
Sounds familiar with his relationship with parcells. Bellicheck sounds like a difficult man to coach with.

I think it's rather ironic that Parcells get criticized for getting angry that Belichick welshed on his deal to coach the Jets...yet Belichick (& the Pats organization) has a pretty bad reputation for not wanting their own people to leave. He's apparently very angry that Mangini left to coach the Jets & refused to refer to him by name at all last week leading up to the game. (And the Pats have tried to institute a league rule that's been nicknamed "The Pioli Rule" aimed at preventing staffers--like Scott Pioli--from leaving a team. Kraft keeps trying to get it passed.)

Say what you will about Parcells, but he's always allowed--& encouraged--his guys to take HC jobs.

It's also ironic that the vaunted Belichick isn't doing so well without Weis, Crennell, & Mangini. Do we now start claiming they're responsible for his success? (Since so many keep claiming that Belichick was responsible for Parcells' success.)

Belichek is so much of a jerk, that I would love to see somebody do that "Choke" sign like when Pete Carroll did when he was with the Jets.

That was hilarious back then. I can't remember who he did that to though. Anybody remember?

Amazing how they give slack to Belecheck for being a bad sport and how they get on players for less stuff.

Double standard.
