The issue isn't that they're dating, the issue seems to be any "business involvement" by the new romantic partner of Bill's.

I think they really needed a marketing team behind the relationship because when you're famous and over the age of 70 and started dating a 24 year old, asking how you the two of you met is a pretty simple question to answer because it's inevitable to be asked. Heck, even 20 years later married myself, people who don't know us can ask my wife and myself how we met.
