Believe it or not, 2nd seed not farfetched

Here is what would have to happen in order for us to get the #2 NFC seed:

1: We win out

2: Tampa Bay loses once (Done)

3: New York loses to KC or Oakland and Washington

4: Chicago loses twice (They have 3 loseable games left)

If that happens, we have the #2 seed

Good thinking, but at this point, we still have to worry about making the playoffs.

sounds good...right now, I'd just be happy with a win on Sunday. I'm nervous about this game.

What about the Panthers?
Having won out, we'd have beaten them and thus own the tie breaker. We already own the tie breaker with Atlanta.

It's a bit of a longshot, but it's the outcome that I am rooting for. :)

So it's either

1) a heartbeat away from the NFC Championship Game appearance, or
2) the 16th pick in the draft.

I'll take option 1. :D

Let's win a couple more games before we count these chickens.

As beat up as the Giants are, it is a possibility. Actually we are in good shape as regards the WC- Vikes and Carolina have a hard road. TB - after the way they got wasted today makes you wonder. Atlanta has even a tougher road.

3rd seed would still be nice, leaving us facing the 6 seed at home. i'm not gonna even try to figure out how we could manage that, but the higher seeded we are the better the chances of winning. homefield for at least the wildcard round is a must...

I wishe we dont get 1st week bye...You saw how we played after the bye Vs. Phili and 10 days after playin Denver Vs. the Giants. The #3 would be perfect

I just want in. Don't care which seed at this point. It's not a given we're going yet. Still have 3 games to play.

Or hit the FG in the Wash and Den game and we are 10-3 right now.

Let's just worry about our end.

Bottom line-teams that go roaring into the playoffs have the best chance. Teams that sneak in through back doors, even if it's the #2 seed, will make a quick exit.
