Believing in the quarterback.

I was thinking about the history of the Cowboys, and I can't believe how often the tables have been turned in the past season, and into this season. Dallas loses the games in the last few minutes, quite often, actually. This is completely the opposite of when everyone believed that Roger Staubach could lead them to a win, no matter how bad it seemed. I believe Dallas needs to develop their quarterback to be that leader. They don't need to find him to have success, but I WANT them to.

I miss the days when the last few minutes were the most exciting, and the outcome was usually good. I'm spoiled from the Tom Landry days, and I was only in the single digit years... Those days were magical, and Dallas should develop that chemistry to get back there. I hope to see it!

I believe in Bledsoe. I just think Parcells needs to let him be the QB he is. A QB that can win games. Not have him be a bus driver playing not to lose.

I hope in the rematch with the Skins that BP has Bledsoe throw alot more and break down the Skins D. We will never break it down playing not to lose. We have a chance to break it down next time if we keep attacking. Bledsoe is a good nuff QB when he is on he will break down a D and carve it up.

i'm as happy as a pig in slop that drew is our qb.

but we need to draft the next roger or troy before too much longer. i think drew could play for us a couple more years though.

drew is cool as a cucumber ...man.

Bledsoe will win this town over and take this team deep into the Playoffs.

Outstanding start - 1 defensive meltdown in secondary aside the future looks bright!

Bledsoe is an excellent QB for Coach Parcells and the Cowboys.

That silly loss to the Commanders is not going to ruin this season, I guarantee that.

CowboyFan needs to stop living in the past regarding Landry and Staubach. We blew games back then too, like 1979 against the Rams in the playoffs. Granted, we came back far more often, but still, football is different today. Furthermore, while Landry was and still is a God and I feel blessed I got to talk to him, albeit on radio once, his last 10 years were nothing to write home about. We lost games we should have won, didn't win a playoff game from 1983 through the end of his tenure etc.

This is the new era. I think we have a great coach, our best QB since Troy in 1999 etc Time to live in the present.

I don't remember any defensive players bouncing passes to receivers when it mattered most most Monday night. That game would have been over if Bledsoe was half the QB that you think he is.

The same could be said for two very good defensive players also. they got burned on the same play twice by the same Wr. But i still think they are both fine ball players.

Both instances, he followed those throws with completions, one that would have sealed the game in Adams wouldn't have got called for holding.

Face, no one can be perfect all the time. I think Bledsoe is playing about as well as we could ask, and as good as any QB in the NFL to this point

Well gee he sure completed a nice pass to Keyshawn near the end but only to have it called back by a BS holding call on Adams.

You act as if Bledsoe is the only QB that bounces passes. It happens. He is the #1 rated QB in the NFC right now and has no INTs.

Maybe if BP starts letting Bledsoe play like he should and that being a QB that can WIN games and not just manage them. Then you will see Bledsoe be the QB most of us think he can be.

I think Parcells is going loosen the noose a little this week. The peoblem with Bledsoe is there seems to be no middle ground. If you let him open it up he can hurt the team real bad. If you keep tight reins on him he does what he needs to. He has to prove he will check off when needed before parcells gives him the room he needs.

So the first game wasn't exciting at the end and the QB didn't come through?

Look, all I'm saying was that in the glory days of the Cowboys, the entire team believed that Roger could win the game!! Dallas could win, possibly win a bunch of games this year, but I don't think the team considers Bledsoe it's leader, they guy that can win the game singlehandedly. Bledsoe was great in the first game, and man, that was a HUGE win. I'm thrilled!

It's just not the same as when Roger was playing. I miss it, that's all.

It is clear NOW that that game we were destined to LOSE. From screwing up scoring chances to critical penaties to flat out blowing coverages- the KARMA was bad all night long. The football gods will not allow any team to shine so brightly for too long without bringing them back to earth. They are fickle and they can turn on you in an instant. Just as the SD game was one we were destined to win.

Maybe Tom Landry was a smarter coach and whipped the old snappers into shape.

I saw on the stats during MNF that Bledsoe has 28 4th quarter comeback wins (too bad it isn't 29). He might not be Roger but give the guy a chance. Because Roger's not walking through that tunnel anytime soon.

I hardly think Bledsoe has to prove anything to Parcells.

I really like what I'm seeing from Bledsoe so far this year. Screw talking about other quarterbacks. I like mistake free football. Picks happen, but make the other team earn them. I prefer a team where everybody has the mentality that they'll make the play, rather than everybody relying on the QB to do it. I can already imagine Bledsoe starting for 3 years here.
