We are the best team in football and yet this season feels empty to me having our best QB sit.

Maybe you should take a couple of days off work to find yourself.

There's nothing empty about the season, and it doesn't matter who is starting and who is sitting if the team is winning. Which they're doing, if you didn't notice.

Don't just single out a certain part of my post like the corrupt media.

Well it was the only part of your post that I questioned as I had no other questions with the rest of your opinion. I wanted some clarication on why you don't think Dak could lead us back without the run game having a good day.

Still don't know if we're the best. I don't trust our defense enough to stop an elite offense from scoring at will, and I don't trust Dak having to put up 40+ points against a team like the Patriots or Falcons in the playoffs. But that's football. The team that gets the best matchups usually wins. I think we can beat teams like the Vikings, Seahawks, Broncos, but I'm more afraid of teams like the Patriots, Falcons, even the Saints. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Not scared of the Falcons at all. They cant stop the run to save their lives, and Matt Ryan if history repeats itself is HORRIBLE in the playoffs, and usually the second half of the season.

I am more scared of a team like Oakland to be quite honest.

I want to win a Super Bowl and Romo gives us the best chance for that this year end of story.

That part of the post tied into other parts of the post. That is like saying "I am against abortions when it applies to rape victims" and you singling out "I am against abortions". Take it easy

You don't know that. There is no way you or anyone else can.

You have no idea what it would do the team chemistry nor do I. You have no idea if Dak's ability to move could win a game that Romo would lose, or if Romo's ability to read defenses would win a game that Dak would lose.

We just don't know but right now nobody wants to mess with the team that has won eight in a row except for a few people who pull more for Romo then they do the Cowboys.

I'm sorry but I don't think you ever answered my question. I guess there is know real answer.

And FYI, I am one of the biggest Romo fans and supporters. I just wanted to know what makes you think and then state that Dak can't bring the Cowboys back from a deficit.

Anyway as you asked, I'm going to go and "take it easy" now.

You're wrong. You can feel better now.

Dak is younger and can handle the physicality of the game better than an older Romo. Its a young mans game. But my response to that logic is....so what. If Romo gets hurt then Dak plays. It seems awfully short sighted to not find out about Romo before playoff time IMO.

Dak is doing stuff Romo has never done in his career and he still don't know what all he's doing yet?? i don't think you understand that logic he's winning against top tier QB's and still haven't seen it all...... and takes care of the football way better than Romo.... if he's gonna get hurt anyway stay with Dak

I do care about winning which is why Dak scares me. We could possibly end up with the best record in football and have a first round bye in the playoffs. Lets just say that happens. Now lets say a team comes into Dallas and puts up a couple of quick points on us and begins to shut down our run game. Lets say we are down by 2 or 3 TDs at half time and Dak and the running game are struggling. I don't think we would have a chance to come back and win with Dak, where as with Tony anything is possible. People are quick to forget just how good Tony has been on horrible teams.

he's doing it now..... so based on what he's shown why would i doubt him now?.... the cast around him is still the same, think about that Zeke is still back there

Sure, our best in 2014. In 2016, Dak is the best, we have no idea what Romo is now.

So you have no idea what Romo is now...but Dak is the best? Sound logic. Tell me, do you have some sort of license to talk out of your ***?

Last time the Cowboys were said to be the best team in football they got bounced by a wildcard team that that beat twice in the regular season.
The Cowboys are an overachieving 4-12 team until they prove otherwise.
This makes zero sense...they have double the wins in only nine games...and the division is stronger than it has been over the last few years. With a running game of the caliber that they possess, I expect them to advance to at least the NFC Title game...unless Elliot goes down or Prescott comes crashing to earth. Romo could step in (in the event of injury) and the offense should still be potent. The only teams that can befuddle them might be Seattle and Philadelphia...beyond that, the other good defenses have bad offenses (Carolina, Arizona, Minnesota) and might not survive to face Dallas if they indeed make the playoffs at all (assuming of course Dallas makes the playoffs as well). You will find it very difficult to survive the Dallas offense without a defense on par with Philadelphia (Football Outsiders top DVOA defense...with Seattle #5). This week will provide yet one more test of Prescott's cool, as he tackles the number 2# defense in the Ravens. Solve that and I don't know what defense other than Seattle that will make the Cowboys quake.

Dallas' principle problem is lack of an edge-rusher opposite of Lawrence. The secondary, with Claiborne and Church returning soon, is covering up the lack of pass-rush in some key situations...but I see Seattle, Philadelphia and probably the Giants as the only potential stumbling blocks on the way to a Title game.

If we're gonna be hypothetical about it...

Lets say we're hosting the divisional round. Dak continues doing what he's done all season, leading his team to more wins than has any other QB in the league. The Cowboys get up a couple scores, Zeke runs wild and Dak takes care of the ball as they control the game and cruise into the conference championship.

Yeh, we'd have no chance to come back if we got down in a game. Dak has never done anything like that.

/sarc

No one is forgetting how good Tony has been, but you're right about one thing: at this point, as far as we know, with Tony anything is possible.
