At the risk of sounding too optomistic about Romo, I had to get this off my chest before calling it a night. Who remembers Ben's '04 season? I do! Maddox was the starter and got hurt on the road against the Ravens a few games into the season. Ben stepped in and looked like a rookie throwing an InT to McCallister for a TD. Some of his teammates even questioned him taking over.

Will Romo have the type of impact that Ben did his rookie year? Is Romo anywhere near Ben talent wise? I'm not saying yes to either of those questions. My point is I truly believe the team is heading in the right direction and Romo may even surprise a few people.

Romo won't "surprise" anyone if comparisons to Roethlisberger and Brady (both of which have been made here in the last 10 minutes) are constantly made.

I know the intent of this post was good-hearted, but I'm just sayin'...

I think more of Brady....and the fact that hte odds of finding another QB like him are very unlikely, even if you have the 1st pick in the draft.

I thought it was rediculous to compare Deadslow to #7, and I think it is equally as brain dead to compare a real life QB to a legend like #7
