Hearing rumors Dez Bryant considering suing NCAA. Hope this is not true. He needs to move on/focus on playbook/stay out of trouble/focus.

Even if Dez had a case against the NCAA for taking away his eligility his last year, it wold be hard to prove he was damaged financially.

:laugh2: I was waiting for that....didnt take long.

The ironic thing is that getting booted by the NCAA is what got him in trouble with the jewelry because he was free to start purchaisng stuff on a line of credit set up by an agent.

Yeah, I heard them trying to make this sound like another huge negative for Dez. Who cares... Maybe the NCAA needs to be sued.

 You're saying because he was suspended the last year he was free to hire an agent at that point who in turn set up a line of credit?

he does have a legit complaint re: his case vs. say Newton's.

but he need to move on

Yes ...............

Of course, he didn't HAVE to buy the jewelry with the LOC, but that's what set the wheels in motion.

How does he have a legitimate case? Wherther or not Newton should have been suspended is a different issue - different case. It does not speak to whether Dez violated NCAA rules.

Gotcha, I was a little confused as to what you meant lol.

I would have to here this from somewhere else before I believe ben and skin.

The NCAA let Newton skate by so they would have a competitive NC game...

I don't know about sued, but slapped sounds good to me. I have never understood why the NCAA is so harsh with the student athletes. The worst one I ever saw them do was against Greg Anthony who played basketball at UNLV.

While still in HS he opened up a silk screening business as part of his desire to become a businessman. He was even invited to be a political intern. In other words a kid with a lot on the ball.

The NCAA made him sell the silk screening business or lose his eligibility. Excuse me! Isn't college supposed to teach you how to do these things? Here's a kid doing it. Not using his celebrity to do it, just doing it. And he got punished for it?

I consider that stupid and what they did to Dez was a bit over the top too. 9 games over a lie? But if someone dopes they get a few games. It just seems out of balance.

So an agent setup a line of credit for him while he was suspended? That would make him ineligible anyway.

Move on

I don't think that really changes the case because it doesn't take out the argument that had the NCAA not improperly suspended him he wouldn't have hired the agent to begin with. Of course it would have looked a little better had he challenged the NCAA at the time, but it still boils down to whether the NCAA acted improperly when they suspended him. I suspect he will have a hard time proving that.
