Benching Gallup, start Tolbert?

Gallup’s contract isn’t breaking the bank. If they felt Tolbert was a better option they would play him ahead of Gallup. Gallup has started to perform better in recent weeks.

We won't know what he'll be like until he gets more playing time. Only way we found out about how much better Miles Austin and DeMarco Murray was when they both got a start due to the starters (Roy Williams and Felix Jones) being injured.

BTW, both Austin and Murray broke the Cowboys' franchise records in their first starts.

Austin put up a franchise record 250 receiving yards and Murray set a franchise record for 253 yards rushing. Eventually, Gallup will get dinged up and have to miss a game and Tolbert will get his big opportunity.

Why bench Gallup that’s bizarre ? He catches the ball and fights for yards . If anything give Tolbert snaps and shuttle Cooks in and out .

The coaches should know who's really playing better and should always feed the better player more snaps. Same thing we said when Pollard was playing better than Zeke, feed the hot hand. Worrying about contracts is Stephens problem.

This witch hunt on Gallup is crazy.

Dude had a great game against Arizona but Dallas lost so, crickets were quiet about him. He follows that up with a nice 5 catches against NE. No noise that week either.
But a pissed off QB comes into SF with something to prove and doesn't make a first down until mid 2nd quarter and it's back to some version of "get rid of Gallup"... smh

That's exactly how I had seen it too. I thought he had been improving each game up until Dak's pissed off game as well.

He never has gotten elite separation but always managed to be a below avg WR2 but more close to a WR3 in the big scheme of things.

Now if the question is his play matching his paycheck then that's definitely a valid point.

But only Jerry pays those injured player contracts like he does, smh.
Can't be mad at Gallup for accepting his pay day I guess.

I do not think Tolbert should be ahead of Gallup, but I do think Tolbert needs development. The only way for this young WR to grow is to get his snap count up because at this rate we will still not know what JT can contribute next TC.

I'll say Tolbert needs a 1/3 off the snaps unless he doesn't produce.
