Bengals coach accuses Chiefs of throwing the game so Bengals miss the playoffs

That's funny trying to blame the Chiefs. Even players and fans are getting in on the act. The Bengals were 3-5 at home and looked horrible for the most part, can't blame anyone but yourself. Chiefs got the #1 seed and a bye, of course they're going to rest players.

Loser comment. Take care of business in Sept, Oct & Nov and you don’t leave it up to another team to decide your fate. And there is zero chance the back-ups weren’t playing to win. That!s an opportunity to put tape out to the league in a game, no way a player isn’t giving 100% effort.

"risk facing us in the playoffs" LOL!!!!! I just lost a little respect for this man with this ridiculous take.

Andy Reid had every right to rest starters especially at QB . The Bengals made a nice comeback to finish 9-8 end of story . Play better first half of schedule

He hasn't been paying attention for the past 3 decades or longer. Like you said, this is what teams do. No team would play their starters unless it somehow benefitted them, not someone else. Unlike in some other games, the Chiefs backups weren't good enough to make it competitive. But they were trying to win.

Besides that, the Chiefs getting stomped early on also demoralized the Dolphins. Because had Miami and Denver won, the Bengals still would not have made the playoffs.

Yup, just the way it goes. Can’t depend on another team in the final week when you had plenty of opportunities before that! On top of that, the Broncos seem to be headed in the right direction while the Bengals took a step backwards.

What KC did was rest its starters. The team they put out there would have struggled in a pre-season game. But, the Bengals made their own bed. They lost a lot of close games they should not have lost.
