I don't agree very often but I definitely have already said that in this thread and I definitely agree this guy is unnecessary it's redundancy if people don't see that it's insane it's like saying we should have got Nick Chubb yes Nick Chubb probably would have been a better choice had we not already got a free agent running back in Sanders and Williams and the draft we drafted two it kind of makes that unnecessary and redundancy I get it nick Chubb still has the potential to be better than either one of them but you don't know how he's gonna be the Cowboys maybe should have brought him in instead of the other two but it's hindsight..

You're right that brings us back to corner corner would be the number one necessary need that would not be redundant because they don't have a veteran on this team that can replace digs until he gets back and we then we got to worry about is the rookie ready is he ready for the NFL not just his injury and we're still waiting on Butler and Carson just had his shoulder cleaned I mean I'm trying to figure out all these threads and really it should just be what corners should we bring in...

Exactly. There’s only so many spots at each position. Once you’ve made a decision on a guy you have to roll with him. CB is a concern because we have guys who may not be ready health wise. I don’t see Diggs back till mid season at best. I’m not sure the time line of the rookie but if he misses camp it will be hard to depend on a rookie too much. I could see a vet CB coming in.

He’s a tackle. He may get cut anyway but the same number of OT will be in the roster. We aren’t carrying an extra LB by cutting an OT. If we cut waletzko it will be for another OT. Adding another LB means cutting a LB

also correct literally there's a lot more names that people don't realize on this team at linebacker like Nick Vigil and Buddy Johnson I believe his name is, and some others that I don't even know their names...

But Liafu, Sanborn, and Murray are locks to be in that order until Overshown is back, then Clark, James the rookie is here and getting looks by the new staff. Add in Johnson and Vigil, id say its a full room TBD by camp play.

so there's room to churn the bottom of the linebacker room but that's why yes people need to stop with the nonsense it seems like all over social media every single player who's released or is up for a trade is linked to the Cowboys everybody we should just go get every free agent that's released...

I know the Cowboys pretty well, and they're not going to go out and add anything to this team until training camp...

they want to see what they have they want to let the players they picked up to this point you know the groceries they want to see how the mule tastes if they have any red flags at positions they will churn the bottom not the top they will find role players in depth and like we've been talking about corner is the only concern that they may need to bring a veteran starter in I don't know what level veteran starter someone like Gilmore or Hilton I mean the price might be way too high for another often injured player that the Packers just released I mean it would be nice to have them on the team...​

Man what is it with social media i'm sick of all these every time a guy's been cut the Cowboys have to go get him it's gotta get this man to the Cowboys we have most of these rooms pretty full until the coaches have time to see how they're developing in camps and training camp they're not gonna add somebody to a room like the linebacker room it looks like you have your top four guys locked down...

The same goes for running back et cetera I realized that we wanted nick Chubb it would have been nice but once they chose to bring in two free agents already that are still here there's no room for another veteran free agent.. Maybe they made a mistake they should have got Nick Chubb instead of Sanders or Williams..

But once they did it they can't just add another I mean they have other concerns on this team maybe at tight end maybe at tackle maybe at defensive tackle but for sure at corner..

The problem with Alexander and that's another post but I'm just bringing it up because I'm really sick and tired of everybody who's released now the Cowboys must go get them he's missed 20 games the last two seasons just like Trayvon Diggs he's going to come out a high price because he doesn't just want to play for his $16 million base salary this year he's going to want a new contract now does he want the new contract before he plays this year and he's going to hold out like Cassan Reddick these are the kind of things that fans don't think about but do we need another CB Who is injury prone?

I mean I like the idea I didn't even mind Jalen Ramsey's who would come with a draft pick and in a very expensive salary and some baggage with his locker room antics I mean people were worried about Pickens well this is a defensive version of Pickens....

But everyone's not a good fit not everyone's a great fit and everyone keeps making these posts like Jerry Jones is stupid for not getting these guys and yet their own teams are letting them go and a bunch of other teams had up to some point passed up on them like right now the Dolphins still haven't traded Ramsey's and for some reason Green Bay didn't think it was worth keeping Alexander and Nick Chubb sat out there up until recently he could have been picked up by any of the other 31 teams besides Jerry but apparently Jerry is the only one who makes mistakes in the NFL..
