When was last time we got 5 sacks? Been a while I believe. How many double teams can offense dictate, without losing advantage?
This guy will be a force to contend with.
Yah... he is a disruptor that can wreak havoc from DE but more importantly— from inside. He is an upgrade from Crawford.
The defense has issues in the secondary— but things are starting to come together in a special way for the front 7

Thank goodness we are finally done with him. Here is an interesting bit of statistical analysis regarding Crawford.
He played in weeks 1,2,5, and 6.
Look at the opposing statistics from this season:

This team and it's pass rush did markedly better with Crawford out of the lineup.
Sack numbers took, and have taken, a significant uptick when he has been out of the lineup. But yeah, let this team and everyone who covers it try to talk up Crawford, and "leadership" and "team captain" and whatever other crap they may try to cover for the fact that they're better off without him.
Thank goodness we are finally done with him.
No, because there was still over 3 million in dead cap if we cut him. Next season it's like nothing. Not until the day he is actually released we're not.
This team had every reason to cut his pay or cut him outright this offseason.
But what did they ultimately do?
No, because there was still over 3 million in dead cap if we cut him. Next season it's like nothing.
Look I think he never even should have been resigned. I get what they wanted to do. But you have to understand this team doesn't care about actual talent. It's who they "like"And there was a cap savings of $6 million if they had cut him. Instead, the team chose to keep him around at a total cost of around $10 million with nothing to show for it. And now they're better by his subtraction and the stats clearly show it. Not that they would ever admit it, nor do I expect or need them to. I've got the facts.
