This has got to be the first time I've seen the word 'demarcation' used in relation to football. The closest I can remember is from the movie, Little Giants, when they run the play "Annexation of Puerto Rico."

Ah! I bet you're right. I hadn't thought it might be a reference to the line of scrimmage.
