The Philip Daniels injury got me to thinking (it takes alot during this time of year). What position would we need to seriously consider trading for if we had a serious injury? I know WR is thin but where else? I know there are alot of intangibles to think of like who was available vs. who got hurt. But would you give up what the skins did or trust our backups.

That one is easy - QB.

I was thinking about that after I hit submit, but if it were to happen today would you try to make a trade or pick up Culpepper or Leftwich or somebody else I am no thinking of?

Damn good point because I could not even tell you who our backup center is.:(

I would say almost the whole oline. If a starter goes down we don't have any proven backups.

And of course qb but that's been beaten to death

I'd go with losing TO. We all saw what happened at the end of last season. Not only did we lose firepower, but we lost confidence and swagger on offense. Knock on wood, but in such an event, I could see Jerry trading the farm for Williams/Johnson/Boldin.

Yeah I guess we don't really know about our backups there. I know I hear alot about them that is positive but hopefully we get some concrete proof this preseason.

Strong Safety. We don't have any legit SS on the roster other than Roy Williams. If he were to get hurt, we could slide Hamlin to SS and Henry, Watkins, or Brown to FS. But there is no quality depth behind Williams that would keep us from shuffling roster positions.

Ahh I figure any position on offense. We just don't have quality depth at all on offense, course we have plenty of picks on defense......wooohooo

TO is down, we are done. Romo down, done. Witten down, done. Anyone on the OL down, big hole cause the coaching staff isn't showing any confidence in them by bringing in vets. Maybe exaggerating a bit, not really done, but they will be huge hits.....and this team can take those hits easier on defense than offense.

I'm gonna with a few that no one is thinking about

TE - Witten is a main cog in our offensive system, Curtis and Bennett can not come close to making anything up

ILB - Seriously who do we have in there that you trust to come in and play full time? Burnett? Carpenter?

OLB - Behind Ware who do you have that can provide what Ware does?

K - Folk is all that we have, and all that we can trust

P - McBrair is the differnce between a team starting at the 50 and 35. Huge in the few close games we will have.
