Some did post Dead Or Alive, by Bon Jovi...
Surprising about Michael Jackson, considering Thriller.

I think when people say 'the 80's, they mean that bubble gum poppy stuff and U2 isn't really characterized as 80's. They were around and started then, but they're still around and their sound is different than what was played then. As much as I hate 'em...;)

I like the George Strait nod, though.

No one likes Genesis, huh?

Ahhh, a thread I can sink my teeth into. Much like Uncle Rico, I'm still stuck in 1983.

Some great selections already. Rack's Poison numbers are very strong. Talk Dirty to me was always one of my favorites.

Here's some selections from my own personal listening list...

Best song of the 80s? Heck, probably one of the best songs of all-time.

I thought about it but then I remembered I'm not (nor was I then) a flaming homosexual so I decided not to.

I've always hated Michelle Jackson, even before she started molesting children.

What a voice.

I hear Steve Perry's working on a solo album that'll be released next year. I thought I'd heard that his voice was shot, but apparently he still sounds as good as ever.

It'd be fantastic if they could get together for a reunion tour at some point. I saw Journey with Arnel Pineda this summer and they were great, but it would just be too cool if Perry rejoined them at some point.

Is Arnel Pineda the Asian kid?

From what I'd heard, it seems Perry's a bit sensitive about some things and that caused a rift with his members in Journey. It's always something to break up a good thing, but maybe they had their time and that will have to suffice. Listening to that old Journey never gets old.

I wasn't crazy about 'Oh Sherry', but I'd like to hear whatever he can do now a days.

Not really an 80's song, but Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin' is a killer tune.
