People will say, "Who cares? Just win!", but if you want to know what's at stake in the NFC East, here are the division standings.

NFC East currently:
  1. Cowboys (6-1), have 1-0 record in the division
  2. Eagles (5-1), have 2-0 record in the division, trail Dallas by 0.5 games
  3. Giants (3-4), have 1-2 record in the division, trail Dallas by 3 games
  4. Commanders (2-5), have 0-2 record in the division, trail Dallas by 4 games

Best-case scenario: Cowboys defeat Commanders and Cardinals defeat Eagles.

  1. Cowboys (7-1), have 2-0 record in the division
  2. Eagles (5-2), have 2-0 record in the division, trail Dallas by 1.5 games
  3. Giants (3-4), have 1-2 record in the division, trail Dallas by 3.5 games
  4. Commanders (2-6), have 0-3 record in the division, trail Dallas by 5 games

Worst-case scenario: Commanders defeat Cowboys and Eagles defeat Cardinals.
  1. Eagles (6-1), have 2-0 record in the division, lead Dallas by 0.5 games
  2. Cowboys (6-2), have 1-1 record in the division
  3. Giants (3-4), have 1-2 record in the division, trail Dallas by 2.5 games
  4. Commanders (3-5), have 1-2 record in the division, trail Dallas by 3 games

Best case scenario: Win - No Injuries

Worst case scenario: Win/Lose - Injuries to key players

THIS!

After this game...
With 8 games left to play and 4 of those division opponents there is no other worst case scenario except the one you mentioned!

No offense, but do we really need a thread to inform us that if we win, we're 7-1 and if we lose, we're 6-2?

There's more to it than that.

If Dallas loses and Philly wins, the Eagles reclaim first place in the division, the Cowboys fall to second, and PHI has the better division record; 2-0 to 1-1.

That's all pretty much included in the OP.

Setting up to be Philly/D games to be critical for Division Title.

Nice position to be in, and hopefully a much better outcome than the last few years when we faced win or in games.

If the Eagles beat the Cards, that turns next week's game verses the Cards a must win if we want to keep up with the Eagles. I think the Eagles will beat up the Cards and make it easier for our Boys to beat them the following week.

On a collision course for a huge Thanksgiving showdown. If both teams keep on the same pace (yes, a long way to go since a month is a long time in this league), to me that would be one of the biggest matchups on thanksgiving in a very long time. We don't play division matchups that often for that game. This one would be a lot of fun.

I think both Philly and Dallas win this week. Cardinals are nothing more than smoke and mirrors and Commanders are just downright awful.

As much as I agree with you about the Cards, I think Philly is just as much smoke and mirrors.. They start off slow and then try to turn it on in the 2nd half a lot. That won't work against Arizona and Arizona is a pretty difficult place to play.

Worst case scenario is we lose and I am a furious (drunken) mess after the game, causing my girlfriend a lot of stress.

I'm going to hijack your thread and just list some games/outcomes that'd benefit us this Sunday, for no other reason than to make the less interesting games more interesting.

Falcons v. Lions - Lions
Seahawks v. Panthers - Panthers
Saints v. Packers - Saints win

That'd put us and the Cardinals firmly in the driver's seat for the #1 - #2 seeds.
