I'm really surprised nobody mentioned Gone in 60 Seconds. Classic early 00s action movie with "Eleanor".

Also, does anybody remember Speed Zone? I wouldn't call it one of the best car movies, but I always loved it when I was younger because of the cars, especially the scenes with the Countach.

The first Jack Reacher movie had a pretty good chase scene although kinda hard to watch them beat up the 1970 Chevelle SS396.

I'm a dyed in the wool old MOPAR guy and had a Challenger 340 TA when Vanishing Point came out so IMHO the best B-Movie of all time.

Props to Bullitt too. Big block Fords ate!

So you had a TA when it was brand new it would seem. Should have held onto it!

This might have been the first movie I ever saw as a wee lad. At the drive in.

Never new this was based on a book by Ian Fleming until now.
I absolutely adored this movie as a kid, still watch it when it comes on

I seem to recall that The French Connection had a decent car chase scene in it.

Almost forgot one of my all time favorites "Grand Prix" with James Garner. The cinematography, especially for 1966, is excellent, they really put you in the cars barrelling around many of those historic tracks. I love that they didn't use music or soundtrack during the racing sequences, just all the car and race sounds.... the whine of the engines, shifts, tires and brakes squealing, that sounds like a clutch....... that can't be good.....
I really love the sequences they shot at the old Monza track, that banked turn is absolutely wicked.

Driven sounds fantastic on a good surround sound. I always did enjoy that move. The Formula cars racing in the streets.
