Have more points on the scoreboard than they do when time expires and we should win.

I see them putting Sherman 1 on 1 against Dez and loading the box to stop Murray and pressure Romo. Dez needs to win and I have faith he can but it wont be easy. Romo please dont put lots of air on deeper passes!

I'm not sure why Washington was blitzing Wilson so much. I would try and mush rush him to help stop the run and keep him in the pocket. He doesn't see the field that well from the pocket and makes ridiculous plays out of the pocket.

I also think the league is being too timid when it comes to Sherman. Beat him a few times and rattle his cage. I'm far more concerned about Avril, Bennett, Wagner, Wright, Chancellor and Thomas than I am of Sherman because in all likelihood if you get him one-on-one on a deep pass play you're more likely to complete the pass than have him get an interception. By not going after Sherman (which the Chargers were unafraid to do), it just plays right into the Seahawks' hands.

I really thought Washington did a horrendous coaching job last night.

It's not going to happen with Dez. They'll keep Sherman right where he is. He doesn't move around regardless who they are playing against. And on a short week that isn't likely to change.

The key is for the Cowboys to continue the run. From the stats, it looks like the Commanders only ran the ball 17 times. The Seahawks wants you to give up running the football so their pass rushers can get to the qb.

Cowboys will probably gain 2 yards a carry, but it will be better for Romo to convert on 3rd and short than 3rd and long. With 3rd and short, the Cowboys receivers and TE can get open against their corners and lbs for a 1st down before the safeties can help. Commanders if I recall correctly only converted 3 3rd downs.

Win the turnover battle, control the clock with the running game, keep Wilson contained and take away the running element of his game and we can win this. We can't have 3 turnovers like we did against Houston and win, Fitzpatrick is a bum and if the Texans had an even average QB they would have won that game.

the keys to beat them are simple. stop the run, contain wilson and don't turn the ball over. every team that plays them knows that. accomplishing thatis a different thing. you will have to play alot of zone. can't really afford to have all the db's with their backs to the LOS with wilson. we may very well use a spy but thats not always effective since they have to stay off the los to see which way a qb comes out and then you give several yards up. it's gonna be a tough game but to me the most important thing we have to do is move the ball on offense and keeep wilson off the field, and score td's

We all know where Michael Irvin got that "hit 'em in the mouth" stuff from, don't we -- none other than his ex-coach Jimmy Johnson. I can still hear his words echoing inside my head, "what do you do when you tangle with a big gorilla? You go up to hit him and hit him right in the mouth." I loved it when Jimmy told his team that.

Oh yeah definitely but I couldn't find a good clip of him saying it :p

I say we go up to the champ's turf and punch them right in the mouth. Play with no fear. They are the ones with everything to lose. They're supposed to win this game.

Exactly what I'm thinking

Key to the game is to not let Wilson pick up first downs with his feet. If we can do that, the game will be up for grabs in the 4th qtr. Still think they find a way to pull it out. Some fans will blame the GM for the hard fought 17-13 type loss.

In reality, a loss will give us something to shoot for. I'm not sure a win would be good for us in this spot so early. Ari and Indy are the teams we must beat!

I'm totally with you here. We need to beat Arizona and Indy. Its more important. Winning a game against Seattle is not good for a young team like Dallas at this time (sarcasm alert).

The last time we had a gorilla to hit in the mouth, it was the Saints game the last year the Cowboys made the playoffs. They went deep to Austin early.

I'm thinking they should do something similar here, play action pass deep to Dez or Williams if they come out and complete a pass like that to start the game I'll be very happy.

Read this morning that Unger was in a boot for a foot injury.

Too bad.

He wasn't.

IIRC, Tirico had mistaken that Jackson beat Sherman when it was Jackson beating Chancellor. Sherman came off his man to help but was a little late
