Kevin Johnson best zone corner?
http://www.steelersdepot.com/2015/0...n-might-be-the-best-zone-corner-in-the-draft/

my scribbled notes from watching media not quite in tune with his assessments. Love to hear your take. agree? disagree?

Trae Waynes Like S Gilmore, good lateral quickness, man-man island player, top ten

Marcus Peters best corner in class, tough and physical. Off field issues makes #4 corner anger?

Kevin Johnson light wt player, and can play press, understanding of zone concepts and off coverage,

Byron Jones quicker athlete than Johnson not as smooth, composed comfortable in zone

Jalen Collins prototype size spd, good in press, never panics chance to be special. great hands

PJ Williams has recent DUI, has all traits sz/wt needed, tough/ not as efficient in press, has length and is fluid, times not disciplined. coaching?

Ronald Darby fast and xplosive, tough, man-man with xcellent transition details. Smaller sz

Eric Rowe safety? big corner, lots of press, loose hips, corner or safety?

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu RD 1 talent without ACL injury, smaller size, lots of fight in this dog more than Oscan.

Senquez Golson Think honeybadger for CB, small and issues with ultra tall WR's. Would love on team...

3, maybe 4 of those guys could be off the board by #27...I would like to see a corner from this list selected by dallas, but I think they will go BPA at the time...5 more days

I could see three gone Waynes, Peters, and Johnson IMO are most likely before 27. Not sure I would bet on this particular occurrence.
Peters has some real support on other teams fan sites that value man-man.

Any of the top 4 could end up being the best one. I currently have Rowe as the 5th best CB.

I don't think Peters is a zone CB, that is why I pretty much dismiss him. Now if we go back to pre-Kiffin/Marinelli I would not object to him.

I think Kevin Johnson will end up being the best Corner out this draft and i don't think P.J. Williams should play corner in the NFL. He should convert to free safety.

They used a lot of man in some games, but a CB has to be able to play both in this scheme.

Peters is the man to man talent, Rowe for me is really a swiss army knife guy unlike any of these others.
J Collins is the guy I will keep wondering about even with this latest news coming out about his failure at some drug tests. When you watch him you can just tell he is just not fazed by anything and he comes in Xlarge on hits. IMO

Any of these guys make our Defense better we will not be sniffing T Waynes but all the others have a possible scenario at 27. Picking at 60 none of these guys is on the menu best hope might be Darby sliding.

CB in Rd 1 just does not excite me.

We need to be strong and aggressive on the line of scrimmage. That will make our defense better. Getting a CB early, to me, is like buying new curtains because you don't like the flooring.

We need to control the clock on D like we did on O

I would love to get IFO in rd 4-5. Lots of talent there, small but extremely physical and feisty.

Yep. He's a 1st round talent but will fall because he's short and is coming off an injury. I don't see us drafting him because of his height but I think we should. He's gonna be a great player in this league.

Better CBs for Cowboys in the first would be Kevin Johnson and Byron Jones.
