Best Cowboys defense

I only started watched football/cowboys since the 1994 season.

Since then, as much as I hated Campo's bend but don't break defense, I don't remember any other year where we can say our defense is better than the years when Campo was our DC. (No, I am not asking for him to be our DC, in fact I don't like him on our coaching staff after being a head coach here)

Which year cowboys had the best defense of all time?

Edit: I just saw another thread on Campo...I guess we are all in off season mode

Wow, that is a long time back. I wish we can build a No. 1 defense sometime soon, that can shutdown Brees, Brady, Mannings and all the passing offense
