Best Cowboys Team since 2007

I don't care what happens the next two games. This is the best team since 2007. For those who don't remember, that was the year we had all the Parcells blue collar boys, with some Wade Phillips defense, just enough star power on offense with TO. The Giants came in hot with their NASCAR and the rest is history.

One thing that sets this apart from all the Garrett Teams is that the defense is legit, just like that 2007 team. Dak, like Romo, has to prove that he is the QB who can go back to the Super Bowl. Dak has the experience now and knows it's put up or shut up time. We have our own thunder & lightning with Zeke & Pollard, even with Zeke's injuries, just like we did with MB3 and Julius Jones. (although I think lightning is out-performing thunder this go-around!)

I don't know if this team will make it to the Super Bowl, but I believe. This is the best competition we've seen Dallas field since 2007. No one can convince me otherwise. I don't compare them to the 90's teams, because there needs to be a Super Bowl ring first. But I believe this is the team that can do it.

Dak haters, back off. He got it back.

DLaw haters, back off. Cowboys NASCAR is coming along fine.

Coop haters, back off. He backed up his talk.

Big Mike haters, back off. Undefeated in December.

OLine haters, back off. Steele, Lael, Conor, Biadasz, they all showed up.

This team is for real.

(or maybe it's all the rum! :p)

Exactly. These young Cowboys fans need to set their sights a little higher.

Not young amigo. Re-read the thread. I don't think anyone can say they are as good as those 90's teams yet but glad to see some are already that confident. Win a Super Bowl and we'll get back to it.

2007 was our year that was supposed to happen. I believe 2021 is the next one.

Have to win at least two playoff games before I agree.
But this team looks promising.

They have to win 2 more games then the 2007 team did in order to prove its the best
since the 2007 team?

That logic seems a little flaws don't ya think?

No. I don't care who won how many playoff games. No one ever made it to the Conference Championship, and IMO 2007 was the toughest team built to win it all.

I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Ware, Canty, Spears, James, Roy & Hamlin, Henry, that was a tough defense. You felt it the day after, and same with MB3 battering your front seven.

Probably so. At least on paper.

2014 was pretty close. And Romo was a seasoned veteran by then playing at a MVP level. 2014 was definitely a championship caliber offense. Came a bad call away from our 1st championship appearance this era.

Winning one would be better than the 2007 team
The 2018 team won one playoff game. I'm not going to put them over the 2007 team even though they went farther than the 2007 team.
So my standard for the 2018 or the 2007 is two playoff wins. In Dallas' case, two wins puts them in the NFC Championship Game.
Get there and I'm ready to proclaim that the Cowboys are better than any team since the 1995-96 team.

Edit: I totally misinterpreted the post. I took it farther than the OP did.
I'll leave my comments up, but I understand the point the OP was trying to make. I still say the 2018 team went farther than the 2007 team so I can't really say that this is the best team since 2007. Maybe since 2018. But the 2007 team was one and done, just like the 2016 team, even though both the 2007 and 2016 teams went 13-3.

Now that I've read it a second time, you're right.
Charge it to my head not my heart. ;)

You can take your fearsome defensive line with Benson Mayowa and Tyrone Crawford leading the pass rush.

Best offensive line since the mid-90's Great Wall of Dallas, I'll give you that. But would still have the 2007 team over the 2016.

That was an exciting year with Dak and Zeke both entering the NFL, and for a while I thought that was going to be our SB team, but I still think 2007 was the toughest team since the 90's and that's what I want going into the Tourney.
