Weighing picks given up or gained and the actual picks, who has impressed you so far?

For me it's the Cowboys, Seahawks, 49ers, Packers, and Jets. Not necessarily in that order. I think all five teams got great value.

This question can't be answered until next year, or maybe the year after.

Why can't you answer "who has impressed you so far"? The term "so far" puts a specific timeframe on the question that indicates a response is requested based on the events that just happened, not a year down the road.

San Francisco might have one of the best combo LT and LG in a few years assuming Anthony Davis and Mike Iupati live up to their billing. Frank Gore might have a monster year running behind them.

drafting OL is the biggest guess in football--why so many shy away from first day OL picks--hopefully we get one in 2 or 3

I concur. I think when all is said and done, the 49ers might walk away with the best 1st round of the draft and it might not even be close. If Iupati can get pass blocking down to where he is solid and Anthony Davis lives up to his potential, that would be HUGE. Offensive line is so important. Lets not forget they traded back into the tail end of the first round to pick up Joe Staley two years ago which was a steal.

I see the 49ers are trying to build a dominant OL. If they ever get good production from the QB position, they will be a SB contender. Singletary has done a great job rebuilding that team.

The Jets defense keeps getting better and a top rated CB is a steal where they picked.

We got Dez: enough said :D

Seattle landed a premier LT and a blue-chip ballhawking Safety.

- To the semantics guys: Lighten up a bit, it is Draftmas morning after all!
:starspin

Hope you have a Great career as a Cowboy Dez!!!!!!!

My favorite pick was when Oakland surprised the Giants by taking their LB. I'll bet there was cursing in their war room.:laugh2:

Packers no doubt. Bulaga was made for that team, and they got him without moving up.

SEAHAWKS got two future Pro Bowlers

Seahawks followed by 49ers. I'd put the Cowboys and Jets at a tie. More offense for Cowboys, more defense for Jets.

:laugh2: That was a shocker. Giants got hosed.

I think they pulled the Jags pants down on that one too, as they probably thought McClain was theirs, or at least Spiller (who they would have taken in despite having MJD). They got neither.

I'd go Detroit, Suh and Best who i think is underrated and can come in and contribute right away.

San Francisco is 2nd because they've now have a beastly OLine for the future, but unless they go after a guy like Mccoy in the 2nd i don't see them taking advantage of it because Alex Smith just isn't that good. Look out for them to be a SB contender in a year or so.

Seattle got a steal with Okung who should've been drafted 3 picks earlier and they got another with Earl Thomas after Philly passed him up. I think they need a QB because Matt Hasselbeck isn't even a top 15 QB now and who the heck is whitehurst? Get Clausen or Mccoy.

Next is us, we got the best offensive skill player in the draft at 24. All we need to do is try to make a move for a guy like Allen, Burnett, Saffold, or Brown in the 2nd and i'd be fine with this years draft to be honest.

I'm gonna throw out the wildcard: Detroit had a great day 1. I'd say it's between them and Dallas in who had the best day. I thought Seattle should have taken a quarterback.
