With Romo and Dez out this could be a draft day reality, stranger things have happened in the draft for us these last couple of years. If QB talent is not there this position should get some attention.

Jalen Ramsey out of FSU next to Byron Jones would be something.

Probably top ten depending on if a team projects him also as a CB.

2 versatile value guys out of WVU: Karl Joseph KJ Dillon
also like Jeremy Cash (Duke) and Vonn Bell (Ohio State) with how much we need DBs. Joseph is more of a S/CB while Bell and Cash are more S/OLB.

I'm no scout but Ramsey more than passes the eye test for me. My money says he'd be a great FS in the league. Problem is I doubt he gets out of the top ten, mqybe even top 5-7. Outside of the top two defensive linemen no one else is setting themselves apart at this stage. Him and Hargreaves could very well go out of our range.

It would be awesome to land him though.

Karl Joseph hurt his knee in practice and is out for the rest of the season.

Don't know if it would hurt his draft stock but maybe we could get him in the second if it does.

Heck of a player who can make plays on he ball (was leading in INTs this year with 5), and he can nail people. Always seems to be in the right place.

In the first round I have a feeling we might be looking at RB, WR or possibly QB this next draft.

Joseph is a football player would love to have him on the team. I am in agreement if QB worthy of first rd pick is available that trumps all others.
I have some confidence that once the offense gets restocked with a healthy Dez and Tony the RB's will shake and bake, the offseason is going to be nervous for all the WR's except ones named Beasley.

We can get Ramsey...if we have a Top-10 pick, we'll have a good shot. Then take Karl Joseph in the later rounds, similar to what the Seahawks did when they took Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor in the 2010 Draft.

How's Darian Thompson look out of Boise? We like the Boise guys.

He's my favorite player in the draft. I don't see a way we are in range to get him though. I think he ends up top 5 on draft day. Cowboys probably have to be in the 4-5 win range to even sniff him and I don't see how that happens. If he somehow found his way to striking distance I go up and get him. I think he comes in as a top 5 FS and is the best talent at the position since Earl Thomas.

Having an elite FS is a huge advantage over 95% of defenses. It's the most talent devoid position in football. Offensive coordinators have to scheme completely different than usual because they usually don't face a good FS on Sundays. Defensive coordinators can also scheme completely differently if they have that playmaker in the center of the field. Can play much more aggressively. CBs can take chances on the ball. Can blitz more. CBs can play much more aggressively at the line.

I'm going to stop now before I talk myself into trading up for this guy. Just please let him go to a non NFC East team.

Ramsey is everything this team needs. Finally gives us a stud playmaker on the back end AND he has potential to be an elite kickoff/punt returner. No more relying on Beasley.

I think Berry was a better prospect, but Ramsey was a better prospect the Thomas

This is the guy I want.

Frankly, pair him with Jones and you have two ball hawking Ss that are interchangeable.

Byron Jones is the future FS of the Cowboys. I doubt we'd take Ramsey if given the chance, although he really is a great player.

Besides, once Romo returns, we're going to win most of our remaining games and likely finish 8-8 or 7-9 and won't have a high dough pick to draft him.
