Best In the East

I'm in this camp...could almost go

1) Westie
2abc) Barber/Portis/Jacobs

However, with Westie's injury and turning 30, I think you could throw all four names in apile and draw one to see who will have the better 2009 season.

If Felix Jones stays healthy and is fed the rock, there will not be any doubt who the best RB is in the NFC East.

I agree, I am anticipating westrook having a down year. However, until that happens he is the best in the east.

BS its westbrook for anyone with a brain.

You can factor in other things and its not as clear as you make it out to be.

The 2 best all around backs play for Dallas and Washington.

Westbrook is a heck of a guy but he isn't my style of RB but he is a nightmare in that West Coast system.

I hear you, but you are making it too complicated. What "your style" of RB is kind of irrelevent. It's who is the best and most productive RB in the sytem that they are in---that is really the only non-subjective way you can judge then. Also, Westbrook is a great all-around back. He can run inside and out, can block when needed, is an amazing receiver, etc.

Portis had the overall best season of the group last year due to injuries by some of the others.

On the other hand, I agree it's not so straight forward now that Westbrook is starting to break down a little. Great move by Philly in drafting Shady McCoy.

Bottom line, the NFC beast has some amazing running backs on all 4 teams. All four teams should be happy with who they have.

Based on production Westbrook is the best of the group.

But I don't think he is the best player of the group.

A lot of players produce more than guys that are better than them.

He's a heck of a player though. Don't get me wrong.

I also agree that the Lesean McCoy pick was really good. That one hurt me.
