Who is the best Return guy in this years draft? I know after Skyler Green we probably wont draft a return man just to return. Anyone know of the best?

I would think Austin would be our KR next year.

Uh... its pretty clearly Ted Ginn, Jr. He is another universe compared to anyone else.

Ginn is obviously the best, but I would not mind picking up Steve Breaston later on in the draft.

Ginn Jr. is awesome, I think the guy has a chance to be special once completely healthy. By the way I saw a few posts that mentioned him getting hurt from celebrating in the endzone, actually he wasn't the one celebrating, not his style, other Ohio State players jumped on him and messed his foot up. If you'd noticed throughout the year he didn't really celebrate after a touchdown.

He could have an impact much like Devon Hester on kick offs and punt returns, only he HAS a specific postion in WR. Ginn Jr. and Terry Glenn would give defense nightmares stretching the field, letting T.O. and Crayton do damage with the short slants!

I agree. I always felt like he was going to take it to the house everytime he touched the football. Whether it was as a returner or a WR. OSU worked at getting him his touches in so many different ways. Similarly to how Arkansas does with Mcfadden except he's a RB

We need a PR not a KR, 2 completely different skill sets.

Ginn like Hester is terrific at both being a PR and a KR. Since you are saying they are seperate positions.

:lmao: You know I've learned to dismiss comments without facts. He must not have seen that kickoff return in the Fiesta Bowl...

I realize Ginn can do both, and if we get Ginn then problem solved, but we need some who can return punts. Kickoffs are not as much as a need for us.

But just in case we don't get Ginn what are some other options?

Eric Wright CB/U.N.L.V. is a really good CB who has fallen to probably the second round due to some off field issues . He's also a good punt returner . Played for USC in the National Championship game but got the boot the following year because XTC was found in his roommates bed room . Probably should be a first round player , but won't !

LSU WR Craig Davis
Northwestern CB Marquice Cole
Kansas State WR Yamon Figurs
Michigan WR Steve Breaston
Miami (OH) WR Ryne Robinson
Maryland CB Josh Wilson
Utah S Eric Weddle

Florida State WR Chris Davis would make an excellent PR although he didn't do it much in college, and ECU WR Aundrae Allison looked really good catching punts and explosive returning them at the Senior Bowl

FYI on Ryne Robinson, entering the '06 season, he was the active NCAA leader in punt return yardage (1,502) and TDs (6)
