Best New Defensive Lineman

Offenses that oppose us, if nothing else, better bring depth to the table when it comes to the offensive line. The manner in which we rotate fresh, big, talented down linemen could prove to be unreal. I know the front/scheme was different when Jimmah called the shots (4-3 to 3-4), but after getting Troy in the fold, the next order of bidness was building a formidable defensive line. And it proved to be key in our Super Bowl runs, IMO.

As for my vote, I'll take Chris Canty. The kid is a bull and showed in his first season that he is capable of collapsing the pocket on a consistent basis. He is disruptive, even when doubled. And now word is he's over 3 bills. I anticipate huge things for him.

A lot of the same can be said for Marcus Spears. And I think Jason Hatcher could be one of those players we look back at in ten years and wonder how the hell he lasted until the third round.

Who cares, all I know is we have two fantastic, young 3-4 DE's and a potentially deep and talented defensive line. Remember, this was the key to the 3 SB's.

Spears shows up big time this year. Eithey way, we are sitting pretty across the entire line now.

Stanley turning out to be a player would be a major coup because the cupboard is bare behind Fergy and he is getting old. We can miss on 1 or 2 of the DEs because there is so much young depth and potential there already.
