Dallas has a good line for sure. What was more telling is even with all the Seattle love fest they put them in the worst OL.

Dallas is on the right track on the OL. Keep building the trenches

Outside of Unger and Okung (when he's healthy, half the time), that OL is just bad. Wilson definitely makes them look a lot better than they are.

sad fact is that the best line today would be about #7 or so back in the 90's. Todays lines are so watered down by the inability to keep them together for years. The KC line back then got very little press but was superb; easily better then anything around here now.

Now It is indeed possible that this line could be the best in the NFL this year. But it is very unlikely to ever be close to that 90's line.

I think we as Cowboys fans can get ahead of ourselves too easily. Does this line have potential? Yeah, it does, but that is only on paper.

Will these players play to their potential or higher? Will they be put in a position to succeed? The are still big questions.

Huge questionmark is still the LG position as well. When the line clicked well last year with Waters it seemed like our offense was unstoppable. We sitll never properly utilized the running game though. That has to change.

lol I doubt the NFL will ever see a line that was as dominating and as nasty as the team of the 90's know as "The Great Wall of Dallas".

Wilson does make them look better, and he is in the right place at the right time...but the defense won that SB.

They certainly didn't hurt. There's no doubting that Wilson is a hell of a QB though. He led that team and did he job about as good as you could have asked a second year QB to.

I'm excited about our line, but really, a lot depends on if Martin is for real (can't stand any rookie being crowned before a real snap) and Freddy continues to improve.
They really could be a helluva group.
My how things change in a couple of years.

It's been a great turn around of the O-Line in the last 5 years, that's for sure.

I think they're #1, but we'll have to see how they handle the blitz pick-ups before they can be crowned.

Jerry is reactionary once he fixes the Dline the oline will need addressed again.

As long as it may take to fix the DL that may be true. The entire D needs fixing.

I honestly feel like that line was overrated. I don't think any of those guys were regarded as being very good before Emmitt got there and none went to a pro bowl before him either. Larry Allen was obviously an all time great but he didn't get there until 94.

Im not trying to say that the line was terrible, but they weren't good enough to be used as excuses as to why the triplets accomplished what they were able to.

Well, like you said, Allen was exceptional. One of the best ever.

Eric Williams (pre Auto accident) was also exceptional. He was a mauler. I absolutely loved watching him play before his wreck.

Nate Newton had really great feet for a big guy, but IMO he wasn't in the same catagory as Allen and Williams.

Other than those three, I think the others were just solid players in the right place at the right time... with the right RB. Pretty good, but nothing special.
